Well the way I see it is Pete is drip fed information by someone who has an agenda so depending on what the agenda is that week will determine the reliability of the information.

Eghamhoop would appear to have a contact within the club different to Pete who passes him on what they believe to be accurate and honest information. Also Egham has actually provided honest overviews on background to deals falling through.

Does anyone else agree with this?

You know I thought long and hard about this and I have to agree with you about Nodge. I don't know Nodge perosnally but sounds like he as been working in the game for 20+ years. Someone like Nodge you can have a conversation with and know everything he is telling is based on knowledge / experience and information from contacts built up over time from within the game. Chancers like QBlockPete come and go and the likes Egham just know someone by chance but for me to be ITK you have to know what your talking about not regurgitating information passed you first/second/third hand of which you pass off as a rumour because in truth you are not knowledegable enough to assess its validity.

Build a successful career working in the game before you claim to be some sort of authority on the inside track.

By the way, I thought ITK was meant to know of transfers and would let others know? Nodge, as much as he knows about the game, as well as he seems a good lad, does not tell of rumours. Pete and Egham do. One is more reliable than the other. I'll leave you to decide who ;)

and who says Nodge doesn't get passed on transfer rumours but chooses not to dabble in posting as he feels they are unsubstatiated rumours which more often than not they are.

Let's be honest, most people pass on the info they hear, whether or not it holds any substance. For instance, if I was in a pub around Shepherds Bush way, and overheard a group of lads saying we were in for a player, I wouldn't be scared to share it. Not arsed whether or not it puts me in the fireing line. I am genuinely interested to hear any rumour that other posters get wind of. No matter what others say, at least Pete passes on what he hears. Others try the whole 'I know what's going on, but I won't tell you, na na nana na!!!' routine. Pete mainly gets abuse because of where he 'allegedly' gets it from. Because a number of fans, yourself included, dislike GP, you seem to have to slaughter Pete every time he posts a rumour because you are upset at the 'leaks' within the club, yet you're all too happy to listen to Egham, and I'm damn sure if Nodge let a few out, you'd be happy to hear from him. This is hardly right as 'leaks' are all the same, no matter where from.

Don't take this as me haveing a pop mate, as I assure you I'm not. I just think it's a bit pointless, and also spoils it for interested posters when others try to stop another man passing on info. Questioning his knowledge on football (apologies if I got that bit wrong mate, it's just how I read it) based on his ability to get rumours wrong is also a little harsh. I'd like to think the majority of posters across our MB's in whole know what they're talking about. We've been around the game long enough to have a good idea.

Anyway, I take all rumours with a pinch of salt, no matter who spreads them. Even the prolific Egham has been wrong on a few occassions, but thankfully, that hasn't stopped him passing on info.

I look forward to reading more of them in the future, so keep them coming lads.
