Yes, it is £199 for a season ticket behind the goal at blackburn and £250 for a season ticket at wigan

It’s like a mortuary at LR compared with the period 2002-2007! Season ticket prices need to be DRASTICALLY reduced to get support back which in turn will add 10 to 15 home points. Considering the appalling football/running of the club in recent years it will take a lot to win back the season ticket holders that have left since 2007! The club has shot itself through the foot AGAIN even before the 2010-2011 season.

The way I see it as this we got 16000 in League 1 pops up as much as the Fulham one. Below is the average crowds for the few seasons you are going on about. We were on the up, winning every week and pushing for promotion and then we have our first season in the CCC where we had renewed optimism. Now take the 2006/7 average attendance when ST prices were reasonably low before the takeover, can you not see a pattern?

          2002/3 13206 League 1
          2003/4 14784 League 1
          2004/5 16055 CCC
          2006/7 12936 CCC

The success on the pitch of the club is directly proportional to attendances regardless what League we are in. On top of that we probably had over 1000 non paying customers every match prior to the takeover. Obviously you are aware of all the concessions, free and dodgy ST's which use to be available, I honestly believe we've lost a lot of these fans because they simply do not want to pay to watch the football as well as those we have unfortunately lost due to them being able to afford it.

Now consider the bigger picture, we have about 15000 potential customers paying on the day at Rangers. If we get it right on the pitch under Warnock then where is the need to drop ST prices if we fill the ground which we will if we are up there abouts. This was the prinicipal Briatore forumalated but unfortunately for him he got it so wrong off the pitch and end up making us a laughing stock. Now we have a new regime who appear to be in touch with the fan base. This whole thread I have started is based around the fact that 'have the club identified the fact that they do not need to dramatically drop ST prices'.....and I believe they have. No it doesn't mean agree with it because I do think it is to expensive but as long as we are seeing success on the pitch it won't make a blind bit a difference because we will fill the ground.

We have to stop looking at the way it was and try to think of the way things can be, we are aiming to step up to the next level and the club have in my opinion have thought it through about the best way to go about this.

One last thing I'm not hiding behind the PC but your failure to look at the bigger picture does IMO make you ignorant and I apologise if that offends but so be it does.

Right, your constant hijacking of my threads and posts insinuating that I'm rich or a toff etc etc to try to turn other posters against me to side with QBlockPete the great working class fan from Chelsea is getting a bit sad.

For your information I have been unemployed for over 2 months and the last thing I needed yesterday was to lay out £630 on a new ST. I'm not about to sign on the ole rock and roll but this is certainly a period of tightening my belt as the economic climate forces me into financial decisions like moving to a cheaper place to live and going out less.

People like you make me laugh as you seem to begrudge others who make a success of their lives and enjoy a bit of luxury when they can afford too. I was born on the White City Estate and was brought up by a single parent. You make out like your some sort of working class champion when the true working class champions are those who work hard and a make a success of their lives and get out. What your attitude represents is the Underclass, I think its about time you learnt to differentiate.

You seem to have an inferiority complex over those who sit in Platinum but I don't see you digging out your mates like Funky who sit there too. I think your the one with issues trying to desperately fit having just appeared on the scene, I don't know a single person from the manor and neither do they who has ever heard or seen of you. A middle aged man carrying a drum to the football wanting to be king of the kids stuck in the cheap seats behind a flood light pylon because thats the part of the ground where free ST's use to get given out.

I'm not justifying myself to you either its to the others whose opinions your trying to influence that might actually heaven forbid believe any thing which comes out of your mouth.

            You upset rangersroar not me.

If you cannot afford it maybe you should downgrade and go for silver or bronze.

Not a dig just a logical observation

For your info, Funky is another one who doesn't post here anymore

Who says I can't afford it, I said I could do with out forking out for it.

You keep hijacking threads and posts of mine making out I'm some sort of champagne charlie who looks down on everyone. I enter a constructive debate on here and you respond with a petty dig which is insinuates I'm in favour of high ST's when all I am doing looking at the bigger picture and trying to understand the Boards way of thinking. That is hijacking a thread and for that you should be hit with your own infracation points.

I asked my old man and he said histrorically the club have always been pretty poor on ST sales. We've a loyal fan base who will always renew of around 6000 and this can fluctuate up to around 8000 on a good season 9000. The club have a database which they can statistically analyse they know how many are staying away, how many more ST's a good season or bad one brings in. We supporters highlight other clubs like Burnley or Norwich who are one team towns/citys or more typically Fulham. Below is a list of how Fulhams attendances have grown since 98, it was progressive an not instant and happend at time when wages on average throughout the division were around 50% less than what they are now. PL wages have double in 4 years that is the bottom line and whilst I don't have the CCC stats to hand I'm pretty certain they are comparative maybe on a slighty lesser ratio.

                  1997/98: 9,004
                  1998/99: 11,387
                  1999/00: 13,092
                  2000/01: 14,985
                  2001/02: 19,389
                  2002/03: 16,707 (at Loftus Road)
                  2003/04: 16,342 (at Loftus Road)
                  2004/05: 19,838
                  2005/06: 20,654
                  2006/07: 22,279
                  2007/08: 23,774

Whilst I am in favour of, I'm not sure dropping ST prices say 25% would be anymore beneficial than good season getting new ST holders through the gates at LR leaving the club potentially further out of pocket. The ground will steadily fill under Warnock and I'm pretty certain the club know what they need to do next season for us to fill the ground regardless of ticket prices. A poster on another thread said that we need to build a bigger ground to survive in the PL but the truth is average gates 15000 would be comparative to that of some teams gate reciepts of approx 25000. I just think whilst we do pay over the odds maybe the Board in time will take a little credit for increased turnover. Our fanbase is loyal and whilst I except that some have been priced out a little, the club has made good efforts to build some bridges with reductions and offers, I think maybe its time to accept the situation the way it is and just start filling LR putting principals aside especially if you are a stayaway fan.

End of the day we are a small club and will be punching well above our weight in the PL when we reach it and I just think its important to put things into perspective. I'll grab my tin hat now......
It doesn't have to be £630 I've just got my ticket for £399 and I'll be watching the same game as you just with a different view.

I'm happy with my seat, I like the view. The thread is about the average price of a QPR ST and whether the club needs to dramatically reduce the price of ST's or whether they are right to keep them high with a small reduction. Its nothing to do with me as an individual.

You are ignorant if you can't see I'm looking at this from the Boards perspective not my own. I do think its too expensive but in the cold light of day given the size of support and ground I can appreciate that the Board have thought the latest reductions through and have come to the conclusion that they didn't need to dramatically reduce ST prices. What part of that are you struggling to understand?

I understand perfectly, but you wont fill the ground if the price is to high. You talk about "the bigger picture", well really there isn't one, it's either to expensive or it's not.
By the way, you can still make your point without insulting people.

But I guess you can take the boy out of the slum, but you can't take the slum out of the boy.

Thats because you have failed to provide a constructive debate and not actually made your point. Also your insult of coming from the slum if your from White City makes you sound ignorant for the third time on this thread.
