SS was my all time hero when I was a pup in the very early 80's... anyway a while back I was mooching about on e-bay and clocked a SS Pannini sticker which I duly purchased... for the princely sum of 25p....

I managed to contact the great man via e-mail and he agreed to sign and return it if I sent it over to France where he now lives...

Received it with a letter today....... what a man and if you are reading this Mr S... thank you sir.........

He still takes a keen interest in the R's....

That's really nice. Simon Stainrod was one of my favourites too as a young teenager, though he never quite pipped Clive Allen as my actual favourite.

great skillful player....scored 24 one season and with clive allen we had a top strike force.

I still remember a fantastic overhead kick he scored against Cardiff at LR. we won 2-0, he got 2 that day. Think it was an FA Cup match.
