  • Are We Overreacting... Re Loans

warnock and pretty much everyone else has stated they don't want any loans next season except in case of emergency, but just because we did it the worst possible way last season doesn't mean we can't do it properly this year - wouldn't you rather one or two high quality loans like kyle naughton (who spurs might even let go on a perm now), tom cleverley, and ryan bertrand rather than filling out the squad with cheap old pros like hill, harte or kozluk?

i understand the argument for experience (especially in this league) and building team spirit but we shouldn't be inflexible about it either - plenty of teams have benefited from the system in the past....

    Fair point.

Warnock obviously doesn't like too many loans, and I can see his point.
I'm not sure if he had any at Palace?

No problem with one or two, but only if they are top quality young players from Arsenal, United, Spurs etc.. Like we did with Mancienne.
Or as cover for long term injuries, when they happen.

The likes of Stephen Reid, the Chelsea keeper, and Marcus Bent were just f*****g pointless.

We should be looking to loan players out, rather than in. To save money if we can't sell them, and give the likes of Antonio German and Josh Parker much needed experience. Seeing as we will have no reserve league to play in next season.
