  • Tosic - Daily Mail...

    From the Daily Mail

West Ham and Birmingham are weighing up a free transfer move for Serbia international left-back Dusko Tosic.

The 25-year-old ended the season playing for QPR after being left in limbo by Portsmouth's financial collapse.

Tosic left Werder Bremen in January to join Portsmouth on a free transfer. He was named on the bench for their FA Cup tie against Southampton but the Premier League blocked the club from playing him in league games as one of the sanctions of their fall into administration.

Wigan showed interest and Swansea looked poised to sign him but it was QPR who eventually stepped in to sign him on loan.

Now, however, Tosic is a free agent again as his contract with Portsmouth has ended and he is eager to return to the Premier League - once he has helped Serbia in the World Cup finals.

Tosic's representative, Zoran Krneta of Star Management Signings, said: 'Dusan hadn't played many games before coming to QPR due to his situation with Werder Bremen and Portsmouth but has improved with every 90 minutes he got under his belt.

'It's a shame the season has finished for him as he just started to get going. The situation with Portsmouth has been resolved and Dusan is a free agent in the summer.

'He has really enjoyed his time with QPR and would not rule out staying if that became an option.

'There were some Premier League clubs interested before he joined QPR but we will have to wait and see.'

West Ham and Birmingham are both are both on the look out for left backs with the Midlands side also monitoring Paul Konchesky's contract situation at Fulham.

    .................................................. ................

However big our "warchest" is, when Premiership clubs come knocking....... bye.

Unfortunately I can't see him staying if the Prem is on offer now. If he's smart he'll wait till after the world cup that's if he gets picked.

Cant believe it has not already been discussed and would show the clubs ambitions if they did sign him.

Dunno - end of season agent talk it seems to me.

Wouldn't be suprised if he got offered a one year deal with a clause that if Premiership club came in for him he could leave.

he's got a fit fake makeup dolly bird, so I say sign him up.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
