  • Patrick Agyemang..Merged Thread

    Taken from Bristol City site

Sno wowed City fans in a pre-season friendly for Ajax last summer but was constantly played out of position by former manager Gary Johnson and ultimately found the pace of the Championship too fast for him, whilst Agyemang has to go down as one of the very worst strikers to have ever played for us!

Whoever the idiot was who gave this useless lazy lump a 4 year contract should be taken out and shot

I was told Agyemang was costing the club £16,000 a week. This covered everything as we were paying for his rent, giving him a food supplement/allowance, paying for car hire and all his living bills. All this was the deal breaker to get him to come to us as he had almost practically signed for another club. Factored into this figure was also what he cost the club (almost £240,00 to buy him out of his contract) which we are still paying Preston for. FLAVIO got rid of him, Wayne Routledge and Fitz Hall which saved the club £67,000 a week prior to him stepping down.

Have to say you do need to factor in those goals he scored when he first joined which IMHO probably saved us from relegation.

Some black, some white, a lot of grey inbetween

Charles be fair mate. If you were given the ball in his position I am sure you would have scored. Most of those goal were far from anything special with very little work to do!
