I said the guy who threw the punch was to blame for the Geordie toppling down the seats and almost on to some kids. Of course, the Geordie isn't blameless. He shouldn't have been there and he shouldn't have mouthed off. But still doesn't justify what followed in my book.

You're not in the minority Michael. It doesn't really matter who started what, there’s no place in football for violence. They should take their punch ups out into a caged area away from everyone and let them do whatever they like to one another. People, on the whole go to watch football, not to have their families frozen with fear! It’s such a shame that football clubs up and down the country make massive attempts to attract support, including QPR, only for violence to ruin what otherwise should be a fun day out with a passion for what is happening on the pitch!

It is a joke and a sad endictment of football that opposition fans cannot sit together without some of the chav element kicking off. I am not a fan of rugby as a game, but look at the crowd. The sit (and drink booze) together, support their team and have friendly banter. That would be so much more fun. Anyone who thinks it is ever ok to smack someone (even if they have given them mouth) clearly is not the brightest and the more of these id1ots we get banned from football grounds the better. That goes for QPR fans, or anyone's fans. It is irrelevant if away fans are in the 'wrong' end.

No actually it is very relervant, stadium rules say that SAR is for home fans only, away fans are NOT PERMITTED even if they are in their 80's and are doing their knitting.

Rangers clearly state that if identified away fans will be removed from the stadium, the fact is the stewards who are usless ******s did not do their job.

They seem very keen to hustle R's fans in R and X block who dare to stand at the back, but when things get tough they **** off.

Geordies probably got seats in the home end off Rangers members and season ticket holders, if identified these Rangers fans should also lose their ticket as it was their actions which caused the problem.

From reading a few message boards, the Geordies joined our database very early on to get their tickets.

I mean, it is irellevant with regards to violence resulting. There is no excuse for it other than self defence. It is pathetic.

                    Whats all the fuss about.

Anyone who followed Rangers in the 70,s and 80,s had to sit in a home end in London and have lived to tell the tale.

In Div 1 a few years back we sat in the home ends a few times because it was difficult to get a ticket.

Ive sat in the Liverpool and villa ends with tickets given to us by Rangers on the official trains.

Plenty of Stoke fans around us not so long back. If I had to sit in the Newcastle end to watch Rangers I would but I wouldnt be very vocal, and all those who have sat in home ends in London way back know what I mean.

You do what you have to do to watch your team.

We usually are about 40 handed (not thugs) in B block but not for this game-interesting to read & have no sympathy for big mouthed #### holes from other clubs who think they can sit among opposition fans & expect not to get grief. I understand what your saying Michael but well done silver hair guy you done what many of us would of done also. Come in our end get a dig sounds fair to me...

To be fair to the Geordie for being in our ends, I think we'd do the same. I know for a fact that if we were playing someone in a big game and the away end had sold out and I had one in the home ends, I'd use it.

Having said that, I'd also be prepared for a scrap if I jumped up if we scored.

I've sat in away ends before.....1st rule is don't bloody scream your head off. Remember when sir less hit equaliser against villa at villa park....I was 11 (I think) and jumped out of my seat......all I could think of with the looks was "offside!"
