  • QPR - Consolidated in Championship

I know this season had its heart-in-mouth moment, but we were easily safe in the end.

Looking back over our finishing positions since promoted to The Championship, we can safely say that we are now a well consolidated Championship team.

    2004/05 11th - Typical post-promotion over-achievement

    2005/06 21st - Typical 2nd season correction

    2006/07 18th - Comfirmation of Championship-underdog status

    2007/08 14th - Steady improvement and consolidation

    2008/09 11th - Further improvement and consolidation

2009/10 13th - Under-achievement after managerial turmoils, but further confirmation that QPR are a now solid Championship side.

Now we have a more settled board / managerial carry-on, and with a decent investment in the squad by an astute manager over the summer, the only way is up.

    Be nice to Minty

It's funny. If after the win at Derby, someone had said we would finish 13th, I would have thought no way. If after Coventry away someone had said we would finish 13th, again I would have thought no way. So whilst we didn't kick on after early promise, I think we have to fairly happy with finishing 10 points above the drop zone.

considering what has gone on this season behind the scenes and constant changes to the manager etc etc, think finishing 13th is bloody good. If we had been stable on and off the pitch,
13th would have been considered an under achievement. Quietly optimistic about next season.

Only thing is from 2004 - 2007 the aim was to stay in the division and build that was achieved. From 2007 the aim has been Play offs or better and we have failed miserably and still ended up flirting with relegation.

Agree Eyr and if Flavio had not gone, guessing we would have gone down.

The aim now must be to progress and under Warnock think we will. Funnily enough, I was more optimistic pre-season last year, but I guess when we get a couple of signings in, the excitement and expectations would start again.

A club of our size, its good acheivement to have a consistent Championship club profile and the longest period of being in it.

fans unite and feels of family club will probably return when matched with success on the field/
