  • ducking stewards!!!

with the lap of honour i was hoping to get a shirt signed for charity ( a local hospice) and therefore made my way to the front. Confronted by various abusive stewards, explained the situation and still very abusive. usual threats of we will escort you out the ground.. well in the end i did. Anybody else had problems with these aholes???

Our stewards are the only ones who will watch Josie struggle with stairs etc, despite her having a white stick and obvious sight problems.
Similarly they will watch my dad stuggling with his walking stick on the stairs -- no offer of help -- which is why he's now reluctantly had to take the decision to go in a wheelchair in the wheelchair area -- it's the only way he can manage now as they don't help him. (The steward in the wheelchair area is at least helpful.)
At other grounds, the stewards are falling over themselves to help the pair of them.
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

I think the term, "jobsworths", was invented especially for them.
The sort of people who would join the increasing ranks of plastic plod, you know, the ones with no powers of arrest, unlike proper plod.

In a nanny state, everybody is taking on the persona of an aggressive nanny, a sad state of affairs.
