  • Charlton-Leeds

Just watched the second half of Charlton-Leeds and this is my thoughts on a few players there's been talk about. Charlton won due to a late goal but Leeds looks the better team to me.

Our own Borrowdale is the same old Borrowdale. He did quite well but this is one division lower and one can tell this is about the right level for him. I cna't see him beeing in the team for next season.

    L. Sam, right winger. Not bad and looks ok running with the ball. A bit thin to me and hardly a top 6 player in the Champ.

Kyel Reid, left winger on loan from SU, looked tricky though but just played the last 30 minutes or so and Leeds did sub their right back so a bit hard to say if he's really was as good as he looked.

Darren Randolph, gk. Did a magnificent save (header from Beckford) with 4 minutes to go and I liked what I saw. Maybe he's a bit too large with his 14 stone but not bad at all.

Shayne Higgs, gk Leeds. Well, I been a goalie for 20 years or so and this guy at least looks good technically and is composed both in the air and with his feet. He was having problems with two corners but was taken out by N. Forster both times. Also a big man, 6´3 and 14st 6ls.

I'd still take Speroni any day of the week...

Finally, Beckford.. He just played 25-30 minutes but was close to score two times. I can see why he's so highly rated and if we could sign this player it probably would be immense. In my world he will score +20 goals in the Champ next season if not injured.

By the way, won't Palace get relegated tomorrow? Danns & Hills are out and 3-4 other players are bound for other clubs...why should they bother really? My money goes for SW to win this match.

    /Erik
