I said a little while ago that all this 'new begining' stuff was feeling like groundhog day and that people who have been bitten twice in the past, would probably go match by match. If this is true, why is Warnock so excited about next season, when he will have to keep players he does not want ?

Building a team is not all about big name players. I fully expect Warnock to make a few signings that surprise us all, but he has that knack of getting the best out of players and i for one will back every player he brings to the club.
At least he knows what we've all known for ages, that we need more strikers, christ Sousa, Dowie and even Magilton failed to recognise the need for players to stick the ball in the net.

Still maintain had Sousa been backed and allowed to bring a quality striker or 2 in we would have been there.

We have Warnock now and as long as we defend well next season like these players have done in the past the addition of 2 quality strikers could really have us sitting pretty next season because Hull, Burnley & Portsmouth will not be good bet to get promoted.
I think that's been our main problem for many seasons, no matter which manager we had here.

To be honest I feel next year things will be different and we as fans should back Neil with who he brings in even if we don't agree, I'm 100% sure that he will not bring players in for the sake of it, we have real funds now which was not provided before.

5 million is not going to be lots considering we are getting rid of half a squad of loan players.

Must important thing is we finally have a football man making trhe decisons.

I fully expect to see some unspectacular workmanlike signngs as well as good ones.

Safe to say Warnock will do more with £5m than Paladini would do with 3x that

There isn't a cap on any sort of fixed budget. NW will go to Ishan and Amit with his list of targets and work through them. My understanding is that all would be considered and funds made available for the right people. Whilst figures weren't mentioned, I'm happy to believe that more the £5m would be available if needed.

if we are to address our problem up front then at least 3 million will be needed to bring in a quality forward

i think we would also need at least one other forward, a goalkeeper, one-two full backs depending on whether tosic signs, a right mid to replace routledge, maybe tarrabt who would take up a large majority of the budget.

thats 7 players that we NEED. 7 players with a budget of 5 mil is hard to do. if players leave then we may need more than 7

Sometimes it's not all about the money but more about what the manager can do.

Fulham, in my opinion, is a team full of nearly beens , also rans etc...Zamora Duff Konchescky Davies Murphy and in relation to rest of the Premier teams in europe, have spent wisely and a lot less. And we can all see what they have achieved.

There are many good players out of contract this season, some that have worked with and some not but will be attracted to QPR via Warnock,.

Now, whereas this is not going to excite many fans, who seem more hacked off about a new shirt design, this will get us,i feel, up there next year.I feel the new board will spend wisely and allow NW to bring these sort of players.

I certainly do not expect us to be in bottom half of table next season. But i also do not expect us to be spending 5 Millions on a striker.

I don't really care what the budget is as long as we get some good signings

I would say they would have discussed with Neil what he thought was required to get us up at his interview for the job and they have said they will back his decisions, so I wouldn't be surprised if there was no set transfer budget as such and they basically back him whatever it takes. After all Lakshmi has just donated £16 million towards a structure for the Olympics, so I'm sure he can find a few quid laying around for his Football Team.

We really don't know until the summer comes, but in reality only 3-4 wins behind a play off place this season and if 5 million in this league cannot get us into at least a top 6 spot, then I'd be amazed

Its a matter if they decide to go further
