What you do have is very strong anti feeling by many on messageboards.

I'm just saying guess the day competitions keep being posted on his departure, they should be put hold for at least another year, probably two.

We can argue about it all day, reality is time will tell.

I can categorically say he will be here start of next season and beyond.

Cannot say no more than that and all this "I've heard this", "days are numbered" are really pointless, because it ain't gonna to happen.

Not only should champers be put on hold, posts that are not true about his immenient departure should be put on hold too.

It appears that you are the one with the agenda, as you keep on harping on about it, boring everybody silly. As for the "anti" feeling being throughout the support, it is my experience that the majority don't care one way or the other as they have better things to occupy their time and thoughts.

Why don't you just give it a rest and be happy when the time comes and you get what you want, be it next week or in two years.

Question for you. How long will it be before you turn your attention and criticism towards Amit and Ishan, for not complying with your wishes ? I only ask this, as presumably they must be complete fools if they don't follow your line of thinking. If they are not fools, perhaps you would be good enough to explain why, as it seems clear enough to you and many others from what you are saying.

                      Thanks for the reply.

The reason for the question my fellow R, is that it appears to me that far too many people are getting overly concerned with a situation that is largely irrelevant at this moment in time.

I am sure that there is no doubt that in the past, GP has made not only genuine mistakes that he regrets, but also handled things in a manner that would by many people's standards, appear rather unprofessional to say the least. There may even be some truth to the inferences and allegations that he has intentionally done certain things for his own benefit, but without proof of such, I would find it hard to slate the man for it.

I fully agree that during his time as owner/chairman, things did not go as well both on and off the field as we all would have hoped for, such is our feeling for the club. But, and it has to be said, he was fighting a battle that many clubs have to face, namely attempting to deliver success on a relatively small budget due to the size of our attendances, so small that it had to be exceeded on several occasions and even then without much to show for it.

My own view for what it's worth, is that he probably didn't have the sufficient level of capital required to take us on in the first place. But once he had, tried anything he could to keep things going.

All I would ask anyone who is constantly having a pop at the man, is to think for a moment that if it were them who had bought us, what would they have done in order to protect what would probably have been a considerable chunk of their assets, when constantly up against it.

Finally, in fairness he kept to his promise that we would not go into admin again, albeit by the skin of his teeth, brought some very wealthy people to the club and is now, not in any position to make big decisions that will affect our future in any way, which surely would suggest that all this "anti" feeling is a little over the top, based upon current circumstances.

Just my opinion of course, but hopefully a balanced one without any agenda from one side or the other.

Does this mean that you don't want posters to discuss an alleged departure of GP? Not only have the boardroom been re-opened to discuss all things as such, you're still not happy.

Would you be happier if we didn't discuss GP at all, despite him being the chairman of our club?

Nice post Brighton and a pleasure to debate sensibly with you.
For me personally, the list of wrongs he has done at the club far far outweighs any good he has done.If he is not empowered with decision making,he seems a very expensive"front man" and not a good one as he is dispised by sections of the support. He hasnt good links with other clubs who dont like his style.
My final point is this;in your own company/buisness/line of work if someone performs to an unacceptable level do they get rewarded with a "title" and less responsibility?

Michael67, just think the subject has been done to death. In all the years of talking about I really doubt if views have changed?

I'm just saying the ones who say he will be leaving Sunday or the summer of 2010 are way off the mark. The fact he is going to stay means that the board have complte faith in him, don't think we can dispute that, otherwise he would be gone.
