  • Pre-war QPR local newspapers - help please

Afternoon all - I am undertaking research on Queen's Park Rangers at present for matches prior to WWII.

The problem I have is finding decent local newspaper coverage - who used to be the club's best local newspaper?

Could any R's fan have a look in their programme or handbook collection of that era to tell me if the local newspapers ran any adverts, and if so, which ones?

Also, if any Rangers fan has access to the club's 1899-1900 handbook you will be very well rewarded. The information in there might solve a few clues about the club's beginnings.

    Thank you all in advance.

Have you looked in the clubshop? They have 'QPR the complete history', which features newspaper articles throughout the clubs history. Could possibly help?
