QPR HAVE refused to match the near £3,000-a-week pay-rise Dexter Blackstock will get if he signs for Nottingham Forest permanently - and have resigned themselves to losing their leading striker.

dexgate goes on...surely the new manager has a say??
Don't think it is a case of can't match Forest more a case of don't want to and want rid of Dex.
Is it purely coincidence that Dexters drop in form and dropping from the team happened at the same time that there were so many rumours about his signing a new contract (reportedly worth £15000 a week) and then having it torn up by a certain orange person (conveniently forgotten by so many)? Also I am sure that his comments on the Forest offy, that went against pretty much all of the propaganda on our offy, haven't really helped him.
But of course as we are constantly told by some it was all the fault of Sousa as he never played him, etc., etc., etc....... :shame:
A message to the other Premier League clubs when they visit Loftus Road.....
"NUESTRA GLORIA, VUESTRO INFIERNO"
(If you don't understand it, then learn Spanish. It is the language of world football.....)
Am I the only one who actually rated Blackstock and never thought he got a decent run to show what he is really capable of?
Good business though if we get two million for him but still reckon he could have been an exceptional player for us given more chances.
Agree would rip Forests arm off if they offered two million.
Shame really as seems to get pushed down the pecking order whenever a new striker joins the club, as shown last season under LDC when he only started half of the games and only began to start regularly again when Pats form dropped off and Vine was injured.
Think there is a lot more to it than we are being told...

Totally agree and something stinks thats for sure.
Agree with Isleworth. Dropped by the Manager and with Flav (alledgedly) ripping up his contract offer, Dexter must have felt like a cast off.
"I am enjoying it (at Forest) and everything about the club is great. The fan base, ground, training ground and the management staff. It is a massive club. If QPR accept a fee for me it's up to me to leave.'
Given his treatment, the above strikes me as perfectly genuine sentiments
We clearly have problems on the playing side. I do not think Dexter was one of them.

yes but there are quality differences, they were in relegation so they are bound to be grateful to have dexter, whilst we couldnt care and too right.
