  • John the Jazz man!! Havnt seen him for a while!! Is he ok?

John used to be a regular in the Crown and Sceptre before it was decimated and was a cracking character and good company! He was a face and player on the jazz scene and enjoyed a late night beverage like most jazz men! Havnt seen him for a couple of years and hope he is ok!! Does anyone have any news?

I still drink with both his sons and John when he comes, which isn't very often this season.
Do you know Tony from Bracknell, who used to drink down the Crown ?

I think so if it was tony from Birch Hill,Bracknell! Don't know him too well but us exiled bushites tend to know about each other as there is quite a few Rangers in Bracknell! When we played Cardiff in the play offs we even managed to fill a 52 seater ! Quite an achievement ! Johns son is Mel ? Pleased to hear he is ok! Top man be nice to see john again !

Yep still drink in either the Connie or BQ now, as does John when he comes. Pity about the Crown it was a great pub back in the day. The Tony I was talking about was always with his son.

Yeah that's the fellow his son still goes but don't know where he drinks! We used to use the BQ and to be honest it's the best on uxbridge road! Only thing is after the Cardiff grief a few years ago it put my mate and my old man who dosnt go much now off and we have decamped to the orchard on askew rd. Nowhere near as good as the old sceptre but a proper boozer!
