If I am not mistaken the guy who wrote the article is the person who writes the comprehensive review of the Co. Accounts every year. I think he is either a lawyer or accountant and has been around for years. I haven't got any old AKUTR's handy, but I'm pretty sure he is a world repected writer for the fanzine and is not to be palmed off by yourself as just a contributor. Whilst Dave Thomas may have not written it stop kidding yourself if you don't think he has an opinion on its content, why else would he allow the article to be published.

Looks like I have to explain my comment above to someone too stupid to grasp it and who seems intent on stirring crap from the other side of the world between QPR fans!!

What I was saying is that the standard of writing is on the most part of an extremely high quality and a fanzine which I have always found completely unbiased and one which I happily buy every issue.

The fact that Dave will publish articles from those who are not as articulate as others such as myself shows that you do not have to be an editor of the Times to contribute and I am sure that they will always consider publishing material forwarded to them.

I always have a brief chat with Dave at every game both home or away and the man is an absolute gentleman and one of the most genuine QPR fans I have the pleasure of knowing.

I wont delete or edit what I said about a fan being stupid and stirring as it will have already been read by many and too late now but I will apologise for doing so to a fellow QPR fan and hopefully not too much offence was taken

Forgive me for being stupid, i thought it was a fairy tale that the training ground was closed and i am sure the kit man posted something saying as much.

Does anyone have a link to the original thread ?

I think its pretty obvious that the training ground was closed on that day, if you read "Hooped Dreams" by Mick Kelly it confirms it in there. This is a book which was on sale in the club shop which wouldn't have been the case if GP had any major issues with the content.

What I don't understand is why this is such a big issue....

GP clearly lied BUT nobody seems to ask why he would do that ? Was he simply trying to protect the clubs interests ? Trying to hide the fact that we were very almost totally broke and couldn't pay the most vital of bills. To avoid a stampede of our other creditors trying to get their money back which could have taken us back into administration.

Or, is anyone suggesting he lied for personal gain ? If so, can you suggest what that may be ?

Or, is it simply he lied to the fans that people hate, regardless or the reasons behind it.

The fact he lied and blamed other people for telling lies, is awful. Also, if he lied to protect the clubs interest, once the interest was protected, why did he not say so and why do people still say he did not lie ?

It's more to do with the fact that certain members on here refuse to beleive the training ground was closed, even though it has been stated as fact in more than one publication. If he lied to defend the image of the club at a precarious time then i for one have no qualms with that.

However, he did lie, and we don't know the real reason behind it, and if he has blatently lied once than it begs the question how many more times?

It's been proved by more than one source that paladini lied. It's also be proved that people on this website lied on behalf of paladini. Proof that paladini is a liar and uses pete and his cronies to lie to the QPR fanbase.

With regard to payments to creditors, speaking to people at the time, the overall impression was one of financial incompetence rather than no funds (no necessarily GP's problem)

I personally would tend to go with the above post regarding keeping other creditors etc off the clubs back. It would seem a logical answer to where the confusion lies.

I have to say, I don't have a clue on what the correct version of events are - but I think it has been blown way out of proportion. Even Dave Thomas put in one of the AKUTR's a few weeks ago that the ironic thing was that it was open the very next day!!

We all have our own opinions on GP, but I don't think it's fair to label anyone that is pro-Paladini to be a "spin merchant" or anything else.

At the end of the day, we are ALL QPR supporters. Some like him, some don't.

Next time GP is in the PR offensive could you ask him the question so he can clarify the "confusion" ?

I asked him for an interview, wasn't the other way round.
