Given a full season with the same manager playing the same position in the same system he'll score a hatful. He has done remarkably well considering the circumstances.
I hate to disagree with you, but with three of the managers he scored goals and played well, but with the 4th manager, the one that will be here next season, he has not scored and not played well. That is why IMO, its time to end the loan and get someone better for next season.

Simpson's 12 league goals have come at a goal every 231 minutes which is better than:

        Best: 354
        Cresswell: 232
        Mellor: 258
        Hulse: 235
        Helguson: 246
        C. Morrison: 296
        Graham: 310
        Varney: 298
        Stead: 251
        Gallagher: 369
        Howard: 350
        Lee: 552
        McCormack: 491
        C. Evans: 596
        John: 543
        Adebola: 461
        Wellbeck: 352

        And lots lots more!

You are right that under Warnock he hasn't done well but Warnock himself has admitted that he has built the team round Two Ball. If Taraabt doesn't sign permanently or at least return on loan next season then the team will play a different system and Simpson would be a very handy player to have.

Is he the best striker available? No. But in a unit of 4/5 strikers would he be a far better option than the likes of Vine, Pellicori, Agyemang and Balanta?

Agree, but I think the writing is on the wall as NW has mentioned on several occasions that we are lightweight and we need strikers after games Simpson has played in. I think NW likes strikers who can look after themselves, as well as find the net.

Agree with that. I still think he would be useful against certain opposition. Not all oppositions are made up of Claude Davis or Chris Morgan where he does struggle. But if you look at his record this season he has done well against the sides who like to play football. He would do well against the likes of Donny and Reading but would struggle against Palace and Watford. But so does players like Simon Cox and Gary Hooper.
