Ollyhoops Match Review
I have never written a match review, so I won't keep it long just more of an overview from today.
Trouble outside when I arrived 2:50pm, people on the floor, being arrested, shouting abuse, as I was walking down the road Cardiff fans were shouting East London etc....
We didn't deserve to loose today and it was frustrating. We had plenty of possession and play but failed to make our chances pay. Priskin no.37 must be one of the worst strikers ever to wear the hoops shirt, send him back please. Overall I thought we did ok, Cardiff wasn't anything special and was very lucky to get that goal. Some of the passing was good although there was quite a lot of long ball to Simpson (which was ineffective) and some of the strikes at goal were poor. We do lack a couple of strikers and a wide player, but overall it wasn't a bad QPR side and possibly a good all round home performance. I was most impressed with the defence, very well organised and despite being short on cover, Ramage and Gorkss did very well.
Ratings:
Cerny - Good game, although had a blunder at 60mins which nearly cost another goal, but overall good performance. 7
Leighertwood - Certainly solid at right back, and IMO his best position, worked hard and delt with threats rather well 8.
Tosic - Another good show, worked hard and did well. 7.
Ramage - Good at centre back again, by far his best position, made some good tackles. 7
Gorkss - Could be my motm, headed well, delt with threats well, great tacking and well timed, very solid player on his day and reads the game well. 9.
Buzsaky - looked frustrated, I think he was sitting too deep, made some poor passes and gave the ball away. 5
Tarrabt - This boy looks class and is a step above the others, unfortunately his lack of passing can be frustrating, but I think his touches and tricks were a joy to watch, if NW can coach him and show him how to pass he would be a top class player, and worked very hard. 7
Ephraim - Good little player, has bags of potential and I think he will improve. 6
Faurlin - Seems to be improving game by game, nice passing and positioning. 7
Simpson - Tried hard but didn't look like scoring, I think he was out muscled so not really his day, he was good at the start of the season but now he looks uninterested. 6
Priskin - Worst striker ever! Not good enough and never ever looks like scoring, I would say he is a league 2 player at best. 4
Subs
Parker - Didn't do much but then again I think it was just a quick run out.
Cook - Wasn't on long to make a fair judgement.
Overall we did ok, we were better than Cardiff and didn't deserve to loose, but I just hope now that results go our way and we build for next season.
