  • QPR to wait for Ambrose and Speroni.. NO £10m warchest.

QPR are prepared to wait until Christmas if Crystal Palace play hardball over the sales of Julian Speroni and Darren Ambrose.

    More..

That doesn't make good reading, but is probably more believable than a £10m warchest

It doesn't make good reading if true.

I guess QPR will once again be sifting through the out of contract players list for freebies, such as Heaton, Bogdanovic etc. In which case, forget the early bird discount, once again I will not be rushing out to buy a season ticket until I see which players are coming and going.

He may have said no to loans, but he wont dismiss the option of one or two season long loans if he has no real transfer kitty. And we can all look forward to some free transfer signings again.

Nothing wrong with saying that at all. If palace think w have £10,000,000 to spend on players, they will want more for Ambrose and Speroni than we are willing to pay.

It was a stupid thing to say that loads of money will be made available to the manager to build as he sees fit and not to deny the £10-15M figure when it was being floated.

Just a pedagogical statement; "We are proper businessmen". I should belive the warchest is big enough.

                  My view only though.

We don't want to over pay for players, if Palace want £1m for Speroni and £1m for Ambrose then forget it and move on as there are better players and tagets out their.

                        We must not over pay.

If we actually PAID for a player, that would be a start!

Does anyone think that a "source from the club" would actually say if we had a £10m war chest?

I don't think so, do you?

It would open us up to clubs doubling the valuations of the players we are interested in.
