I thought the sell on might be even higher than that, couldn't care less about what Spurs get out of it TBH. The lad is the best player in the CCC bar none and is now working with a manager who can unleash his true potential.

That would leave us £7m left, if the £10m budget was true. I'm guessing Simpson would be £1m-£1.5m? Which would leave us £5.5m-£6m for the rest of the players.

My thoughts exactly mate. £4.5 would have been a silly buy as we'd literally be building the team around him and Faurlin with too many average players to fill the rest of the squad. That £1.5 m buys you an extra player, ie., Simpson. Good business if true.

Exactly that mate. I've always been a fan of NW, and I'm glad he's doing what I expected by getting the best out of his players.

3m would be the max that I would of paid for him.

If we sign Jay for 1.5 I still don't think 5.5m will be enough.

Hopefully we can bring in some decent freebies because 5.5m for 6 players plus a couple of freebies isn't alot these days.

I'd be a little bit cautious here. Scott is trying to drum up some attention to his new site. Trying to show WATRB what they're missing. I notice he mentions a new badge and that Lotto have pulled out. All could be true but to me, it smells a little bit like attention seeking.

Well he is going to be left looking like a complete fool if he's made it all up. Personally I have always felt that since Warnock has been at the club Taarabt would be ours next season.

It could be £3 million based on numerous factors,eg,us reaching the premier league in 2 years,amount of international games he plays ,ect,i severly doubt it we will pay that amout up front,more like £1.5 million + extras

Take with a pinch of salt. "IF" any deal has been agreed - there is no way any sell on clause would be 40% if the transfer fee is £3m (expensive for someone who would be in the last year of his current deal). Financial suicide.

Really hope this isn't hot air. So clear to see what a superb player he's become under Warnock, passing when he should, intelligent runs, more passion. Don't want to break the bank on him but he's a MUST for next season if we're to show everyone we mean business next season.

I could have started that rumour, as could Pete. It's no secret NW likes him and wants to sign him so there a 75% chance and if it comes off and Scott can then say 'I told you so, you heard it hear first'.

Tell me about a player who doesn't play for us and we haven't had any connection with and only then will I regard it as an exclusive.
