If we are talking the same one....They lifted it from St Pauli I think (and more recently Celtic as the two teams are "twinned") - that is Rangers are linked to SV Hamburg and Celtic with St P (also from Hamburg). I think the tune is that one which appears in Sister Act (the film) - "I will follow you" or something. You'll find it on youtube. The end part sounds a lot like an old Boney M song, which might be the bit that is particularly irritating. I may of course have this all wrong as I haven't dug into it - if so apols!

I think we're talking the right one, i thought at one point they were going to burst into "Everybody was Kung Fu Fighting"..!!
Gawd - you've got me at it now. Stuck in my head. Thanks!! It is the Sister Act thing I'm pretty sure, and mixed at the end is KC and the sunshine band (not Boney M).

When they marched to the ground singing it, it looked like they were taking part in some gay procession.
I cant't past the links to youtube from here. but have just looked (yes - sad - you got it stuck in my head). If you search on "St Pauli I follow" you will get the chant they've aped (the one I think we mean). If you have a look at Sister Act "I will follow him" and towards the end is the tune that's been lifted. Then they go into a silly end bit lifted direct from KC and the sunshine band's "that's the way I like it".
Phew - Glad that's sorted. But whilst the where did it come from isn't niggling anymore I still can't get the bloody tune out of my head.

My oinitial reaction was simple - **** off. You have already driven me quite mad enough today. ButI think I may know the answer to this as they were crowing about it on their website last week - till we panked them. The lyric (which I have copied from there is
"south london's number one
we're the pride of south london
we know its true were red and blue
oh wow woow ooo"
Choice isn't it - Oh wow!!!
They have posted the video of their "march" to the ground on youtube (sorry can't do the links from the b'berry and on train!). It's under something like Crystal palance fanatics march to ground"
warning - it is very very sad. I never saw any of this march. Coming in from Thornton Heath side it was nowt but R's as far as I could see!! Liberties being taken all over the place.

Here it is.
Some people from Surrey, trying desperately to be Italian/Turkish Ultras.
