Nice to know you care so much
Its a song that we all seem to rather enjoy singing. At the Watford game it was pretty immense with 2000+ of us singing it and the stand was shaking.
We do have an active group of supporters who are trying to bring a bit of an Ultra style support to games and its had a mixed reception but personally I am growing to rather like it. Not so sure about all this 'march' malarky but I am very much of the traditional school of thought which says that you should be able to time your departure from the pub with arriving in your seat/place on terrace almost to the second that the game kicks off which does not leave much time for anything else other than that sort of half run/half walk (I think it could be described as a 'trot). But these kids are the future and best of British to them as long as I dont have to join in.
And without wanting to get into a slanging match whilst your support was very vocal on Saturday its the first time in years, if not decades, of seeing you play Palace both at Selhurst and at your place that I ever realised you were even there. When we come to play you we always make loads of noise. You would do well to try and be inspired by us.

Invariably over recent seasons, the atmopshere has been shocking home and away.
Most of the time Palace fans sit on their hands. the fact you feel aggreived about the 10 point reduction (which despite finger pointing in last 5 years, we've never had to do) and near relegation it brings everyone together.
if you secure your status and end up being mid table next season, it will revert back to normal, if you went down and were gunning for promotion in Division 1 then it wil continue. Thats football.ALL BEST BANTER AND ALL THE LATEST FROM QPR.

I am beginning to rather like their efforts with the flags and they go to some trouble with the banners with my own favourite being their show of respect to Malcom Alison. And a club like QPR with old legends like Stan Bowles could do similar.
I think football has to try and really make an effort with atmosphere because the way things are going the game is going to become totally sterile. Yes, it can seem a touch cheesy but personally I am growing rather weary with all this obsessession that supposed 'real' fans have with all the designer label nonsense and I think its about time that fun was put back into the watching experience. Football needs its soul back because otherwise we just become Chelsea wannbes and that would be it for me.
Give me a hundred or so daft kids who want to wave flags and bang drums than thousands who just buy their season ticket because its become the new Glyndebourne.
