As Newcastle have proved, you need quality strikers to win the CCC. We need 2 or 3 quality strikers and I would class Maynard as quality at this level. I think NW will use the money wisely and get frees if they are up to standard (Tonge /Montgomery) and spend on stikers where he has to. As said previously we NEED a physical presence up front as well as skill, a combination of both would be ideal.

ill believe it when it happens....club has lived on hype for the past 3 seasons and im not falling for it again. Not spending 2k on season tickets on the premise "its gonna be our season next season"...heard it all before :-)

Not very often I agree with vblockranger, but in the same boat.

Okay, if we go and bring a decent striker for x amount I might change my view, but if cheapies I'm not going to be convinced. I'll still get my season ticket (probably nearer August), but this summer will tell us a lot on what our aspirations are for next season.

To challenge the top 2, we need at least 5 quality p-layers

I would hope Tarrabt and Simpson could be added to that list... although I have a feeling there will be one or two surprises.

if people say tarabt is hot and hold then beckford certaintly is.. hes been getting booed buy leeds last few games. hes got attitude problems by the sounds of it. i spoken to quite a few regulars at palace and they said ambrose goes missing for long spells most games. need a big bloke up top, necastle got carroll and nolan, wba got bednar and miller..who would be the ideal person for that role?
