To be honest I didn't expect that result yesterday. I was soooo wound-up
all morning, hardly got any sleep the night before. Palace have been playing well of late, yet they hardly turned up for the possibly the biggest game of the season for both clubs.
I think Neil got his tactics spot on .... he gave plenty pre-match praise to Palace, I almost felt he was still on their books!
A big thank you to all the Rangers players for one of the best performances
of our season .... hard to pick a best Rangers player as everyone played
out of their skins ~ If I'm hard pushed I'd go for Faurlin, was it my imagination
playing tricks with my mind, or was he wearing a dinner suit over his QPR kit?
The boy was outstanding, smooth silky skills all day long ...... QUALITY!
OK ... on to half-time. Palace had a group of 7 year old boys doing a lap
of honour, all waving to the home support ..... you've seen this sort of
thing before, at Loftus Road and many other clubs, nothing new but
great for the kids and their familys, and well done to our fans for the healthy round of applause given to those boys also.
A few minutes pass by, and then a girls team, all dressed in the Palace
away kit, go through the same motion of rounning round the edge of
Selhurst and waving at the crowd .... I think these little 7 year old girls
had won a trophy, anyway, they finish off their lap of honour by running
past the Rangers fans!
As I've said, there all wearing Crystal Palace kits, top to toe, once again
The Rangers fans give these kids a health round of applause .... until
the last little girl of the team, lifts her Palace shirt up to reveal a Blue
and White Hooped 'Gulf-Air' Rangers shirt underneath the Palace shirt.
It was priceless! .... Very funny! .... The R's faithfull cheered even
louder, and her Dad must be so proud of her .... you had to be there!
