I wouldn't go as far as to say he was class. Looked useful but his distribution wasn't all that. In fairness, he looked decent given the fact he's not played much recently. Didn't look out of his depth and got forward well. In fairness I was pretty hammered so my judgement was slightly clouded.
Compared to what we've had at left back in recent years, he looked far more solid, far better in tackling, heading, getting forward -- became part of the nice passing around in the 2nd half with Ephraim, Taarabt, Faurlin and Buzz.
Very good debut -- would be great to keep him.
The test for Tosic will be when he comes up against a decent right winger. They had a right back playing on the wing so he didn't have to do too much defensively. But certainly a good start.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.
