Robsodinho - I know all that and I have seen him play. And I am not really about to argue the strengths of the French League (though I will say in passing it is not strong bar the top two). He may even be better than Rowly and Legs as you say. Indeed if we are having a squad of 50 and money-no-object I am quite happy for him to come on down. But my point is that he is being sold or let go as he is at the end of his career. I think we can all agree he is not a superstar by any stretch so we won't be building a team around him. You wouldn't think of him as CCC material even in his prime. So its more of a question really - why on earth would we want him? Why now? If we want a holding midfielder for next year there are plenty of better options. Long term options we could also see as an investment rather than a short term cost.

I am not dying in a ditch if he comes or not. But I will admit to being pretty disappointed about the way and the outcome of this if he comes, not least as it is essentially Warnock's first outing in the market if this is to be believed. Perhaps it is the usual tosh. Perhaps he will prove me wrong and have a blinding world cup and be worth untold. But probably not.

I cant believe what I am reading...If any of you have seen him play you know he is decent. To be honest I thought he was older then that been around for years. Think he also played for Leicester or Cov for a few games years back.

He is a captain of a world cup team (englands group) and has been a good player in the french league (for a top half side) which is a lot better then the championship. Just because some of you people only have ever watched english footy dont mean his pants. better then all are current Centre mids I promise that.

To be honest I am even suprised we are linked with him....maybe because he is getting on now.
