    Dexter Blackstock

Lots of discussions about Blackstock today with some thinking he isn't good enough but has anyone ever thought how many managers he has played under? He has yet to turn 23 and to date he has had the following managers:

    Ian Atkins - Oxford United

    George Burley - Southampton
    Dave Bassett - Southampton
    Harry Redknapp - Southampton
    Steve Wigley - Southampton
    Paul Sturrock - Southampton
    Steve Wigley* - Southampton
    Gordon Strachan - Southampton
*Wigley twice was the caretaker boss at Southampton

    Bobby Williamson - Plymouth

    Phil Brown - Derby

    Paulo Sousa - QPR
    Gareth Ainsworth - QPR
    Iain Dowie - QPR
    Luigi De Canio - QPR
    Mick Harford - QPR
    John Gregory - QPR
    Gary Waddock - QPR

My argument is that this many managers all with different views and opinions is unsettling for a player so the fact that he has scored 13 goals this season is a remarkable achievement. If he had some stability I believe he would improve immensely.

so the reason he misses the odd chance(9 out of ten i reckon) is because hes played under loads of different managers?

I dont understand why that makes him miss odd chances? :waaaht:
      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
      And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

The fact he went on loan while being our top scorer says to me the bloke has got some talent, just needs the right manager to find it.

        Who is the right manager.?
My old man said be a Rangers fan, I said,......OK.

The point I'm making is that players need stability. If you did your job and each different boss came in with a different view on how to do it it would affect your performance. The fact that he has played under so many manager and is still scoring regularly says that he is very good.

So rather than debate the point and argue the case against it you think asking someone if they are his mum is an acceptable form of communication on a message board. Not sure what that says about you?
