We have been promised time after time that we'll spend big and it's yet to happen. This season however, I honestly feel we'll change. We'll spend and we can go for some of your players. Clyne will be dificult, as will Speroni, but Danns and Ambrose are two very realistic targets. Both having a their best season by far and neither are good enough for a decent Prem side, so 'IF' we can persuade them we are serious and that we'll be going fro promotion next season...Why not chose us over a Hull or a Bolton who could easilly go down next season, if not this?

And Warnock DOESN'T always play that 'hoofball' style. He's a manager who utilises what he has best and in fairness had you playing some very good football this season...Surely you cannot deny that. You know you've lost a very able manager. One of the best in this league. I assure you, I've maintained this way before we signed him. I've always admired his ability to get the best out of a player. Every arguement has two sides, and you're bound to look for the negative whilst I, naturally will look for the plus sides.

I also agree...We're far from out of it, but even of we do lose on Saturday, it's hardly the end of the road as we just need to win out game in hand (granted, easier said and all that) and we're back ahead of you.

I think it's safe to say that neither of us, nor Wednesday have an easy run in. It could go either way, but let's be honest, you guys need the win more that us which is why I'm more worried about Saturdays game. I know your boys are commited and that you'll come out of the blocks at 100 miles per hour. It's just a question of whether or not our boys have the balls to match that effort?

It's no secret that I hate Palace with a passion, but I do admire your spirit. My hatred isn't the type that wants to see you go under. I want you to stay up so as the rivalry is still there for next season. I won't lie...losing Saturday will be a sickener for me, so I'm hoping for a win as I still think you'll stay up.

Anyway, good to see you can have a reasoned debate.

You're completely correct, we have lost a very able manager. He really is one of the best in THIS league. Unfortunately, that may be your downfall. Let's say, hypothetically, you use your 10 million pounds, spend big, and win the league under Warnock. I'm not saying it's going to happen, (in fact I very much doubt it) but let's pretend that it just has.

The following season, in the Premiership, your players are going to look fairly good, but they've been told how to get out of the championship. Warnock doesn't have much experience in the Premiership, and he is a championship manager. Even though you may have some premiership-standard players, it would be almost certain that you would go down; because the teams already in the premiership would have the experience, (and better players) to stay up another season.

Warnock, without a doubt, is one of the best managers in the Championship. However, his downfall, is that he would definitely be one of the worst in the Premiership.

If that's an indication of what we can expect with Warnock then thank F*ck we've not got Hart!

Not even sure he's got what it takes in League 1 next season.

I dissagree, but in fairness, I have nothing to back that up with as he's been in the Prem once and went back down. You can't even use the excuse that he was hard done by over the Tevez affair because Sheff Utd were well in the driving seat before Wet Spam had that run. My only reason for believing he'll do ok (not great) is because as I said, he knows how to bring the best out of his players. He's similar to Pulis in his team building and tactical decissions and look at Stoke. Big, busstley teams CAN and have worked in the Prem because all these superstars don't like to be hit hard.

Like I say, I have nothing to back my claims with, but I just feel he could do a job.
        Your mum would love me...

Sorry, but I'm not familiar with his history with Rangers. Paul Hart seems a very able manager from our perspective, and has (so far) had a much better record than Warnock left us with!

Paul Hart's arrival has changed us as a side, we pass the ball around now. Also, another benefit, not EVERYTHING is the referees fault! Even though there have been some massive **** ups, referee's appear to be much kinder to us now. With Neil Warnock as your manager, people don't like you very much.

Again, that's not a dig; it's just coming from first hand experience.

Oh, and Stainrod... Warnock's record with you so far has hardly been impressive, has it?

We'll just have to see then won't we. I agree with BBR - Warnock isn't all about hoofball - he has shown with each club he has been at that he uses what is there and tries to get them doing whatever it is they do best - be that passing or running the ball on the floor - but doing it better. At the momet he is trying to get us to safety. So you'd expect (and I hope) this means we will lock down the defence and poach goals. It will be about keeping possession first and foremost. I'll take that to keep us in the League. What he'll do starting from a clean start with a bit of cash next year remains to be seen. But he knows that he will be judged on what he does. And that includes the style of play. We can then decide whether to keep him or not. He is here to do a job. And you lot will still have Paul Hart. The reason he was shafted from Rangers so quickly you might like to know is he was playing hoofball and wasn't even very good at it.

Paul Hart was shafted for playing bad hoofball? Well, that's actually quite interesting. He appears to have learnt from his mistakes; a good quality in a manager. We've played some great stuff so far, and I look forward to seeing how we progress. There's talk of him being offered a new contract, but whether he takes it or goes to the Spurs youth job remains to be seen.

From what we've seen so far, Paul Hart has been a very good manager. Again, his results are better than Warnock's when he left. Maybe you just weren't the right team for him? We stick by our managers, and he's already said how much he appreciates our fans. Hopefully a lot of you will see on saturday, our fan base get behind our team and our management; it clearly makes a massive difference.

[QUOTE=Eagle;327098 . Sadly, you only need to look at games like our 4-0 defeat to Scunny at home, to highlight the flaws in the long ball tactic. They really passed us off the pitch that day, and Warnock was heard shouting to hoof it up top on numerous occasions; despite the players really wanting to pass it around. Under Warnock, players tend to play in fear of getting a massive #######ing for doing something wrong. Some players respond to that, but a lot of others don't. [/QUOTE]

Thanks Eagle, good post. I'm wondering if that statement will come back to haunt us next season, never a dull moment is there?

Hart is a relegation specialist and about the right level for Palace.

Warnock deserved and has got a bigger club with far more potential than that Sarf Laaandan (sorry Surrey) dump.

How is the Sainsbury's end these days?

I really didn't want this to turn into a slagging off match, but apparently you just can't help it.

Relegation specialist? So far, it seems not.

Warnock doesn't deserve anything, he's a bottler. He admitted in your local paper, he left because of the 10 point deduction. More potential? Don't make me laugh. You're (albeit pathetically) dubbed QPHahaha by quite a few clubs for a reason. Money doesn't make a club, and you're the perfect example. A bigger club? When was the last time you did anything meaningful? Ask anyone, they'll tell you that Palace are a bigger club. Remember, we're in the **** because of a points deduction. You're in the ****, because your team is pure ####.

On a side note, how is "the chosen one" doing so far? No wins in what, 7 games? Not looking good, is it?

Sorry to the rest of you, who appear to be quite nice people. I wish you the best of luck next season.

I think more potential = transfer budget to a manager and your manager will have next to nothing, whereas NW will have upwards of £10m . Oh and by the way the QPha is because it sounds like QPR has been said for all the 43 years I have been going to LR and is nothing to do with the Flavio era, who we got rid of by the way. (without him putting us in admin)

Lets see how many of your players jump ship from League 1 and join the greater potential that is us - just like when Venables and your better players did in the 80's.

Palace are a wannabee big London club from Surrey with a bunch of students as fans - get over it and look forward to the Derby with Orient next season.

If our administrator is to be believed, we are almost taken over by the CPFC 2010 Consortium. If so, we will probably have a reasonable transfer budget.

As you apparently didn't know, our chairman DID NOT put us into administration. In fact, the last thing Simon Jordan wanted was administration. One of the people we owed money to (Agilo) forced us into administration, despite the best wishes of the Tango Man. Our chairman had the clubs best interests at heart, unfortunately, some of our very eager creditors didn't. Jordan cannot be blamed for the administration itself, and effectively left us in the same situation we found us in 10 years ago.

Most Palace fans have no ill-feeling towards him, because he did the best he could. He was a Palace fan himself, and cared about the club. Sadly, circumstances beyond his control forced us into administration. Our chairman was, no doubt, better than Flavio.

not being funny palace fans, but if your in league 1 then im pretty sure that your best 4 players who are able to play in the premier league probably will, they wont want to be in league 1 for 1 game.

we need to win saturday and beat watford then we can say this but for the mean time, the future looks bright, just the present doesnt.

You're acting like we're going down? Trust me, I sincerely doubt that we will go down. Hopefully, our case will be strengthened on Saturday. If you lose, you have a relegation battle on your hands; well and truly. Let's see how many players want to jump ship to a club that is in League 1? Oh, and do you think Warnock would hang about as well? And what if you buy all of these amazing players with your transfer budget, but fail to go up? Do you think they would hang about, and stick with a club that's underachieving?

Come off it. Your last sentence can be reflected in your club as well?

"QPR are a wannabee big London club". Yep, suits you just fine.

What happens when your current chairman runs away with his tail between his legs? You might have nothing, but then again... you might have a team filled with superstars, on massive contracts and wages? If I didn't have a chairman to support me, I'd prefer to have nothing. I fear, you are getting too over-confident.

We shall see, 10 games in to next season, how happy you are then.

Oh, and also.... we will see how much noise our "bunch of students" make on Saturday, compared to you. I assure you, it will be loud. Very loud.
