  • Anyone else see Ramage tell someone in the Loft...

to f**k off as he walked around clapping the fans after the game. He waved his hands at them in their direction.

Not a very good idea to tell fans to f**k off. He needs as many fans on his side as possible.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

Not stirring. Just stating what I saw when he walked past the goal. Not a good move by him.

Knowing some of our idiotic supporters I can imagine someone shouting something along the lines of "your sh1t", he's only human and probably reacted. Don't blame him either. Don't rate him much but puts in 10 times more heart & effort than most of that team.

Sl@gging him off is out of order when he's clapping the fans considering most of the team don't bother.

Hamm, judging by your other thread on Ramage it does read as 'stirring'. You opinion is clear.

Maybe you are just reporting what you saw, but I wonder, was he directing it at you ? Seems only you spotted it.

To balance, I thought Ramage was the best of a bad bunch across our back line yesterday. Doesn't say much coz the other 3 were awful.
Also, I think Ramage has improved slightly of late, maybe NW can improve him further and he has always opened himself up for stick by being the only player to regularly applaud/acknowledge fans at the end of a game. At leaat he doesn't go hiding. His disappointment is clear for all to see when things don't go right on the pitch.

All that said, he's not good enough if we want a top 6 finish next season !

After his performance on Saturday I doubt he had much need to be angry. The only player who showed on Saturday he might be worth keeping. (Tarbs and Faurlin have quite clearly proved it already.)

I would take more notice of this if it wasn't posted 2 hours after your original "Lets #### off Ramage" thread...........what, just remembered how much it bothered you?

Both the below comments are from Hammersmith R

He cost us the 3 points. He was no way near Tommy Spurr and gave him so much time to put a pin point cross in for their equaliser......9:16 about ramage

Matt Hill costs us a goal again.......
totally out jumped for their equaliser... 9:21 about hill

If a fan gets his kicks by personally & verbally abusing players, then i cant see how they can complain when they get it back.

Ramage must have his reasons if true but I know he will give anyone the time of day, something happened that we don't know, however I think Ramage was great and put some good crosses in, again was the first to clap the fans.

Unfortunately fans pay the price to boo and have a go, the fact we pay more for mediocre football makes these kind of incidents increase.

I'm not defending it, but players get alot of stick from us. Take priskin who actually had a good game yesterday. We need a scapegoat.
