  • What was with the 'there's only 1 Peter Ramage?'

Why were some fans singing that?

He cost us the 3 points. He was no way near Tommy Spurr and gave him so much time to put a pin point cross in for their equaliser.

It's unbelievable how so many Rangers fans accept dross and average performances. if you boost his ego then he'll be back next season. We need him out of the club or we won't move forward next season. You stick with him in the side and next year will be like this season.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

you're absolutely right. we should boo him every time he touches the ball. make sure he knows how we feel about him, the b*stard. and DEFINITELY don't applaud him when he gets forward and puts in a couple of beautiful crosses that no-one gets on the end of, AGAIN. and definitely sing "let him die" when he gets pole-axed going for a ball that no other player in the squad would consider going for.

we should also give him the bird when he has the temerity to come over and acknowledge the fans at the end of the match - just who does he think he is?!

in fact, what we should probably do, is highlight ramage at the end of the game as all that is wrong with the side, regardless of how he played...

    OR...

we could acknowledge that he may not be Dani Alves, but he really isn't the worst right back the world has ever seen, and support the player when he's got the hooped shirt on. Radical, but it might catch on...

a, great post - totally agree. Ramage has been excellent recently. Matt Hill was actually at fault for the goal. I wonder if we'll be seeing the new lad at left back on Monday?

Funny that. At the game yesterday Ramage was no way near Tommy Spurr who had so much time to put a ball in for Soares. Not sure which game you were at.

Great post, he may not have all the ability in the world but his attitude is spot on, unlike a lot of the fans ! Really can't believe some of the rubbish written on here recently.

Doing that and he stays next season. And next season will be more dross and average performances and certainly NO chance of going up. I have high expectations. I forked out a lot of money for my season ticket and go to all the away games and I am sick to death of watching average performances from the players. Ramage is a good example of why we are in our position in the league.

Who gives a to55 if he comes and claps the fans after every game? I just want the players putting in a good shift for 90 mins and winning the game. Any old Tom, **** or Harry could play rubbish for 90 mins and then come and clap the fans after. It seems at Rangers, even if you are sh1t but clap the fans it's worthy of getting your name sung! So bizarre some Rangers fans.

Priskin should of cut the ball out before it got to Spurr, and as you mention in another post Hill leapt like a dead frog! - Still lets all kick Ramage.

compared to Gorkks of late - Ramage is AWESOME

Note no criticism of Gorkks on here - sheep eh!!

I agree about Gorks. He has had a poor season with Stewart as well.

But Ramage is on another level.

I would only keep Connolly and Gorks for next season. The rest can go.

Agree with this view on Ramage...because a couple of high profile posters/Q blockers said he was poor, many followed suit, rather than challenge the view.
                      Baaaa!
He may not be a world beater and may not take us to the next level, but has not warranted so much stick.

Their goal was a result of Jermaine Johnson waltzing through the midfield. He should have been taken out around the centre circle. Give away a free kick, to break up the play. Once he started the move and no one got close to him, there was only going to be one outcome.

Last 3 games, Ramage has been our best defender.

I blame Priskin for the goal and Hill for not having the height to deal with it.

2 points dropped, but Ramage had a good game.

Not bloody hard when you have Gorks, Stewart and Hill alongside you!
