  • Warnock sums it all up

Neil Warnock: "One or two performances were disappointing. We've got too many loans players and I'm disappointed all-round tonight."

Just about sums up today for me really.

No imagination, confidence, cutting edge, or killer touch in the final third.

Yet another 'mare from Priskin, and Adel is now clearly a marked man in this league.

Without doubt 2 points dropped. Wednesday were poor and there for the taking, demonstrated by how delighted they were with grabbing the draw.

    Positives
More and more impressed by Ikeme. Ramage was good today too, apart from his some of his passing/crossing

Sign a good manager: The ability to quickly target and assess the areas of weakness and has the ability and know how to rectify them, AND now the available funds to carry it out.

Yet another mare from Priskin? he was, after Faurlin and Ramage, probably our best player today. he had FAR from a mare, especially compared to the rest of the team...

Yeah sure he had a great game, apart from the fact that he seems incapable of jumping for headers or going in for 50/50's.

In Warnock's own words after the game:
"We've no physical threat up front, we've got a lot of loan players, some I thought were 'indifferent' shall we say today." - Clearly he's been diplomatic there with his choice of words, and you dont need to be a rocket scientist to figure out who he's referring to. Rumour has it he was tearing strips off some of the players at the end.

Simpson was clearly still not fit today, that's all.

Can't speak for Jeff Stanley but doubt he was saying Priskin was brilliant or even the answer. Merely that we (supposedly) had two strikers up front today, both loan players, and Priskin was a long way from being the worst of the two.

Agree with you mate, but as I say Simpson wasnt at the races because he's clearly not yet fully fit and NW had no one else to pick (WTF has happened to Bent is anybody's guess!), but saying Priskin was superior to an unfit Simpson, IMO is not saying a great deal.

True mate, we need a lot better. Just slightly irritates me when you see some posts on here (not from you) saying things like "another mare today from Priskin" when you cd have singled out half a dozen players who did no better today. Agree the Bent situation is v strange. Pete intimated a while back that he had been sent back to his club but then we heard nothing more. he must look v poor in training because he at least is the TYPE of striker we badly need, as warno seems to acknowledge in saying tabs needs a big striker to work with.

Agree with that, but not only Tabs, Simpson's crying out for one too.
