  • i am disappointed

i hoped the club would realise prices are driving fans out, and they come for "offers".
SAR must be the only main stand where home fans have no bar ( the majority) platinum is ltd.
gold in SAR is poor value but club took on board family prices which is good...
any drop is welcome but i thought the club wanted fans back...£60 and a scarf, hahahahahahahhaahahahahaha
the club tried and i assume we have wage bills to meet.....

we were told 10,000 is the target, now 9,000

fulham will have cheaper deals in the prem.

I normally sit in the Upper Loft but got a ticket in the SAR stand, i couldnt believe that a club bar that will only get its main revenue 9 months of the year every other week would limit the visitors into it. Who came up with that great idea!

whoever has been coming up with most of the ideas for the club for the past couple of years needs shooting....club been run into the ground and is a complete laughing stock. Only hope now is this new lot can try to turn it around. Looks promising but must say im disappointed with the ST pricing......must try harder

a tough decision but prices went up 33-50% in one go, fans had to argue for the vat drop....

with all the offers, free tickets...a season tkt is POOR VFM.

          we are still expensive.
sod all the gifts and options, drop £100 off the price and job done!
          lol.....

Sorry Modfarther I disagree I think the board have offered as much as they can at this stage

With costs due to rise next year with tax's and inflation etc.. they need to think about the club finances and the stability as well as finance for transfers and over expenditure.

From what I can see they targeted 2 main area's, the family package and U21, if you take the cheapest options, include the free cup game and all the discounts they can see each game for under £10 per person.

I am not rich and not part of the target so I started saving in Jan for this years season ticket, and with this discount I would be able to attend each game for around £15.

I dont know many other places I can attend a whole afternoons entertainment for under £15, or for a family / U21 for a £10.

As for the Fulham argument, season ticket revenue is not one of the main sources of income that they rely on, its corporate and the sky money (£60 million) therefore they can offer cheaper seats. For us season tickets still is a major part of income and therefore reducing the prices to much across the board will have a big impact on the club finance position.

Again, I think the board have listened and have done well to reduce ticket prices, offering 0% intrest for 3 month payments for people to spread the cost (yes its not over a season) and you are just never going to keep everyone happy.

Mine went up 1,250% from £284 to £3,525 and when I was moved to an inferior seat after 41 years,it still almost doubled from £284 to £449 as a senior. My grandaughter could no longer go (£70 to £449) and thus ended 5 generations of supporting the R's.Happy? NO.

You can sugar coat it all you want with talk of rising tax's blah blah but knocking £100 off each ST would of got us I would estimate approx 12,000 ST holders therefore pushing average gates nearer the 15-16,000 mark hence match day revenue soaring.

I agree its a business but if we are talking VFM its definitely not that I'm afraid.

The club COULD of done more.

Fulham do indeed have other revenue streams, however to a young kid – take my step-kids for instance – who are they going to choose to watch? Like it or not, we are competing with Fulham in attracting spectators. They are obviously a more attractive proposition to floating fans as they are in the Premiership, so how do we counter that? Answer: er, by making QPR more expensive to watch.

It maybe fine for all us so called die-hards to fork out the dosh but what incentive is there for anyone else? When the roles were reversed, Fulham was cheaper to watch. Yes financial times are tough and next season's prices are obviously an improvement on this season but continuing to overprice an 'inferior' product is not the smartest move in my opinion. This is akin to charging more for a pint of Carling than for a pint of Stella.

good points Stu and i see and agree the point you are making of how to attract youngsters to QPR. However with U16 being able to get in for £89 pounds a season with 23 games this is around £3.80 per game the club can not make it much cheaper for them, the only other option you have is to make it free.

I personnely feel the only way we are going to be able to compete and attract youngsters to become a R's fan is by making it different some how. Make the players more approachable, have open day training sessions when the school hoildays are on, have a "kids morning once a month" where they can meet and greet players etc...
