  • 10% reduction on STs

    Errrrrm no?

Adult in gold last year was £570, next year it will be £539. How is that a 10% reduction LOL?

£400 for a young adult last year, next year £359. Again, thats not a 10% reduction?

    WTF?

But Silver has gone down £56 from £525 which is more than 10%...strange.

VAT has gone up from 15% to 17.5%.

Next couple of years VAT will hit 20% under the Tories, so you should be smiling.

But they gave us an EXTRA 2.5% off last season, including the 2.5% VAT drop.

Read it again. Its a 10% reduction on this years full prices if you get the early bird price.
Adult Gold Full price 599, Early Bird price 539 - Saving of 60

So in real terms the price of the season tickets has been increased unless you make use of the early bird offer

No idea then Morris, TBH I just hand my credit card over and thats it.

With hindsight I think the club should have rewarded those supporters who had accumulated lots of loyalty points, that would have kept our most loyal supporters quiet.

              Morris £40 off £400 is 10% mate.

As for loyalty points been no point whatsoever accumlating them.

Ok, think back to what you initially paid for last years season ticket.
Before the 5% Vat & good will gesture refund.

                  So Gold was £599 - 10% (£60) = £539
                  It works.
Not sure what Plat, Silver & Bronze were initially before the 5% refund, but I suspect if you take 10% from those prices, next season will equate to a 10% reduction similar to Gold.

Downside is with new applications basically paying the same as last seasons initial prices (without the 5% Vat, etc gesture) which caused all the uproar and bad feeling, it's not likely to attract too many people back !
Thus putting the 9000 target for a further refund much less likely in my opinion.

Unless the Club spin in, which is basically what they've done with this 10% reduction claim. It's true based on what was originally paid last year, but not on what we eventually paid post refund.

                  Any clearer ?

Correct, so thet have actually raised prices, how many clubs will be doing that I wonder.

The club belongs to the fans, the fans wanted Fav out and Amit to take over, the Fans want to see Tarbs, Simpson etc.. sign to push for promotion. The fans also want the club to be financially stable and not risk its future like it has in the past.

Taking that into consideration with the current budget and inflation of costs that are going to hit everyone next year, the owners have a very difficult task.

                      What would you do?

If you reduce season tickets prices and spend the money the fans want, the financial position of the club becomes insecure, and the clubs future is at risk the fans are worried and unhappy.

If you reduce season ticket prices and release the good players on high wages and get average players in on average wages, the club becomes financially safe but the Fans again are unhappy, as they want to see better football.

If you increase season tickets prices, pay high wages, get good players in, play good football, challenge for promotion, the club is financially stable, the Fans are still unhappy as it too expensive

These are the hard choices that the board face, there is no right or wrong. Whether we like it or not we have to face the facts the club needs to be fun as a business. If you take the family offer £999 early bird for 2 adults and 2 kids, that is 96 games (23 + 1 cup * 4) this equates to £10.40 each game. If you deduct 5% that becomes £9.80 per game.

                      For under 21, £225 for 24 games = 9.37 per game, (£8.90 with 5%) when I got to 16 , I had to pay full price.

Now I know I am taking a simple calculation and taking the cheapest option but I don know where you can spend a afternoon for 4 for under £10 or if your under 21. If you think these prices are to high or they should be applied to all the ground then the club will struggle to survive.

I personnel think for a 1st step, in the current economic climate this a great start.
One for all.... and all for one

Why is it that only in the lower loft can anyone take advantage of the family offer.? If you sit in gold, not only do you pay more for your ticket, you seem to be penalised for the privilege !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
