Agree, think the danger with some fans is they are too sentimental so any good honest old battler (Ainsworth springs to mind) is promoted in the imagination of some fans to be something amazing. Mahon was playing very well before his injury but don't see how we can afford to have two ageing central midfield players coming back from career threatening injuries. Its brutal, but I think its a choice between one of Rowlands and Mahon and if his contract is up, then sadly I think its "thankyou and good night". Wd do a great job for S****horpe.
