We should have scored even more than three goals, but it was a difficult wet and very heavy pitch. Wet, windy and freezing cold at Harlington. Sam Bewick's goal was a great goal from over 20 yards out. Now that we have won the Southern area final we will play the winners of the Northern final which will be either Macclesfield or Stockport.

Patqpr, no direspect to our lads, but why are we not in a slightly higher league? Not undermining the acheivement, but you watch plenty of the youth games, could we compete with other championship clubs or lowly premiership clubs?

Because we are a centre of excellence and not a academy, we were in the FA youth cup in the early rounds but were knocked out, we desperately need to reinstate our academy so we play teams of a higher standard. Having said that watched the under 16s a few weeks back beat Barnet 8-1 and forgetting the result they actually tried to get the ball down and played some good stuff.

The youth side is soemthing I don't really follow first hand and its good to get an insight from those that do.

It is not known yet where the final will be. First of all Stockport and Macclesfield have to play to determine the winner of the Northern area and then it will be decided whether the winner of that will play QPR down here or whether it will be up North. Last year when we were in the final it was played at QPR so possibly they would decide that to be fair it should be in the North this year .... but I hope not.

As Winalotto said, "We desperately need to reinstate our Academy so that we play teams of a better standard". However, having said that, we played Brighton U.18's last Saturday and desperately needed to win to keep in with our good chance of winning the league, but unfortunately we lost to them, so we have a way to go yet. But to be an Academy and to play better teams would be a big step in the right direction.
