So defence is not a problem when we concede almost every game(try telling the big 4 they do not need a good LB) Thought Hill's loan runs out early April.

So you know our transfer targets already eh?????

      vblockranger,

I'll have a bet with you now Tosic will not be a permanant signing in the summer/ Say a friendly £20..

I'm sure he was referring to the striker target, which did not come off before loan transfer day. He kept saying for the need for a target man, instead we got a left back. By all accounts the main target was Beattie.

I'm just making the point we have Matt Hill (okay not setting the world alight), but games are not won or lost based on having a superb left back and hardly worth it now. We are probably wasting money already on Hall, Ageymang and Quashie

If its a view to a permanant than fair enough, but thats something I doubt bearing in mind the list in Warnock's head.
That is a strange post that you do need pulling up on.

I am sure you was saying the complete reverse when we was playing Damion Delaney. If we want to go up next season then full back are VERY important. I know Torres scores a wonder goal and played really well but as an England fan it was great to see Johnson running the show from RB. He was bombing forward and creating 70% of liverpools chances. We are desperate for attacking full back. We have had a load of sh ite since the days of Bardsley and Wilson.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Hill is here to end of the season?

Ikeme is the one who ends in April and by the way, if we are going to hang on Warnocks every word he said "Cerny would be in goals" because he was close to getting in a good loan. That did not happen.

By the way, I am totally behind Warnock just in case that is doubted.

              weareqpr12,

Is Tosic brought in with a view to buy or to put him in the shop window for the World Cup?

From that prespective you'll right, but if he does well in World Cup he won't stay here.

problem is we are one win from Safety and probably not needed

I saw the interview and I do agree that he was talking about a big target man. That is the no1 priority position to be addressed however we will need 2 decent full backs in the summer. Are you saying that Tosic isn't a realistic target to sign? Yes course he will want to shine ahead of a world cup and who can blame him but if he does then surely we should look to buy him if he does impress.

think Warnock is thinking about next season. If the supposed warchest isnt as high as expected (sub 5 million) then maybe he has to prioritize on where he spends it. He would probably like Clyne or equivalent in LB but maybe other positions (striker, goalkeeper etc) are more important and is where the majority of the money will be spent...in which case Tosic (if he's half decent) would be a good acquisition.

your probably right.didnt he say in his interview on the offical he didnt want to drop down to the championship?

still a gd loan.with connolly always picking up injuries this season and the form of most of our back 4 i can see why they have loaned him.

I'm just saying Warnock wanted a target man.

If Warnock signs Tosic next season than I will hold my hands up, but his targets are in his head for next season, where he has total control of who comes in who goes out. I just wonder on this one if its " look take a look at him and see how he does". ( I do not KNOW for sure), thats the way it seems to me from the outside. Despite many false accusations I don';t have hotline in into the charimans or managers office.

We are practically safe, if Tosic is here with a view to a permanant signing, then fair enough, I don't think he is.

i agree pete i cnt see it being a view to a permanant either and when he did sign it did make me wonder who actually signed him?but as others have said the bloke is looking to prove himself and can be no worse than what we already have so give the bloke a shot.id expect to see him start the next game.

Warnock likes to see players in the flesh but hasn't seen Tosic at all - but he came available and he now has a few games to assess him - that's roughly what Warnock has said about this loan
Odd one really but he knows he needs a left back next season, Tosic was available and is an option that he can assess early - decide if he's up to it or not and then move on?

Only guessing but that seems to be Warnock's preferred way of working.
