Nowhere near the £10 million being mentioned,NW has laughted off that rumour "i wish!" is what he said yesterday, expect around £3 million plus whatever he can raise himself,WE WILL NOT BE BUYING OUR WAY OUT OF THIS DIVISION,not now,not ever,so lets put that to rest.

Can't see the new owners 'only' giving NW £3M, you would just about get a decent striker for that. As mentioned above he's not going to announce the amount available to him knowing damn well all future targets price will inflate. I think £7-10m is more realistic. Amit knows £3m won't do jack.

well if we dont buy ourselves out of this division how we gonna get out of it? cant rely on our youth system setup, cant rely on the players we have now as they are plainly not good enough. Looks like its buying bargain basement players and hoping Colin can turn them into promotion winning contenders then..... nothing much has changed

From the BBC site
"English football's super-rich owners, including Roman Abramovich and Sheikh Mansour, face drastic curbs on their influence under Uefa proposals. Uefa has drawn up a document setting out detailed plans to force clubs to spend only what they earn."
3m looks more realistic given our size.

It will only push transfer fees up !!
In Neil we trust
As proven in recent years, the minute you start talking about a big transfer budget every transfer target's value goes through the roof.

Not what I heard yeterday and posted on another thread.Good source ( can't reveal but a relative of a well known member of staff) says that war chest will probably be nearer £17m than 10 and this DOESN'T include any sales. The new board mean business, and whilst the funds may not all be paid up front and may be paid commensurate with results on the field, they will be made available.Only passing on info that I personally feel is reliable.
