Another fine example of the great support that our players get when things aren't going their way.

The bloke nearly won the game for us last night. The only bit of football i saw in a s.h.i.t. second half.

Vine looked a lot sharper to me last night than he has done since his injury. He looked hungry and was willing to chase the ball down. That's something you'll NEVER see with Priskin. Vine played quite a few good passes lastnight too, so that tells me his awareness and vision has began to return.

We have all seen 1st hand what Vine is capable of and I refuse to believe he won't get back to where he was. It took Cook quite some time and he's looking much better now. Be patient with the lad. He deserves it.
I agree. Vine put in far more effort last night than he has recently been doing and was extremely unlucky not to score the winner.

As for not passing the ball to a QPR player last night, yes he did.

Vine looked interested last night (Priskin has never looked interested - not at QPR, Ipswich and rarely at Watford).

Perhaps the effort he put in last night is because Warnock has told Vine he will get a run of games to prove he is worth keeping next season. If that is the case, maybe we can see him return to form.

I guess some fans think a few appearances as a sub here and there (some less than 10 mins) is going to help Vine recover, physically & mentally from a serious leg injury.

Well, it isn't. Cook had a lot of full games last season to recover from his injury and then missed a large part of the 2nd half of last season and this season, and is only now starting to show glimpses of his old form,

Get off Vine's back and give him time & support.

I will support Vine or anyone else who puts on the hoops, but the 'selective viewing' from some is incredible. I just was curious to see if anyone thought he offered anything more since his injury than Priskin. Besides if we think we should give players time, what about Priskin. His confidence levels have been undoubtably knocked yet we're not interested. For the record I'm not pro or anti Priskin but Vine's contribution throughout matches has been just as bad as Priskins. How many times did the ball go to Vine, then straight back at our defense. He needs to buck up his ideas.

I'd prefer a player who can hold the ball and bring the creative players into play, not some headless chicken who is all endevour but does nothing for the team.

I was a big fan of Vines, but he gaves us nothing last night, and subsequently we could not retain possesion

              BIG difference;

              Vine is a QPR player

              Priskin is an Ipswich player

Start with Vine every time and get him ready for next season.

Please tell me your not serious. Start German, I'd be happy not see Vine in a QPR shirt again.

Wow all the talk about how Legs is cr*p as well as the entire back 4, and all the players that we should offload, and apparently Vine is worth a first team place. I'll eat my words if he does get back to his old form, but we are not safe yet and gifting mentally weak players start after start whilst an incredibly impressive and hard working German is stuck on the bench. Lets give Balanta, German and co a good go, I'm sure they warrant a first team place more than some of our 'experienced' players

Vine is miles better than Priskin imo and he'll get better with more games. Priskin will go back to Portman road richer for the experience but forever useless.

I can't actually remember their team putting a tackle in on him simply because he was so desperate to give the ball away, whether it was to one or our players or not. I sympathise with his injury but we are not a charity and we can't afford passengers. Meanwhile priskin gets ridiculed for every last touch.
Vines has never been a brave player, never been prepared to take a tackle or get in where it hurts to score goals. After a serious injury, that attitude won't have improved. Warnock won't have that, and you will find that Vine won't be around next season.

vine was and is a very good player just needs a pre season under his belt to get some much needed fitness back.people do seem to forget he has come back from a very serious injury aswell as having countless of managers this season and not really been given a fair try its no wonder his fitness and confidence is shot.
"birch said he rated u btw luke, congrats"

Just don't see where he fits in a "Warnock team", was never good enough as a striker, his best form at the club came from playing wide left, but Warnock will want a number 9 type of player to play in one of the wide roles, so I just can't see him being retained

I think Vine lacks confidence IMO... Although I do wonder if he's never going to be the same since his injury...

I would be fair and give him more time before now and the end of the season as we have nothing to play for so give him a decent run in the side and see if he can improve.
