It's still possible though that Palace could go down and both Charlton and Millwall come up so there will be an extra derby anyway.

Ideal Scenario is Portsmouth & West Ham come down, Palace & Watford stay up & Norwich, Chalton, Millwall get promoted.

Add to that Reading, Bristol City & Ipswich and that gives us 10 away matches in the South of England....happy days.

Forgot about West Ham (easily forgetable).

I'd settle for 9 South of England team and allow Palace one season in L1. Then they can come back up with Saints but hopefully by then we will be out of the CCC.

Having many London derbies is good for atmos/rivalry etc but it can have a downside.

Derby games often have a levelling factor for some reason and if (we can hope) we were one of the top few teams next season, it could be detrimental.

Not always the case, but lower teams do raise their game against higher teams if they are close rivals.
