blending in nugent and Beattie this season to get used to our style of play and get them games for fitness fo next season or bring in Balanta who is a league 1 player and German hmm tough one i'll agree to disagree sir pie as IMHO I don't think Balanta is strong enough although German deserves some game time.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

You may well be right and both German and Balanta may never make it at this level but I think we should find out once and for all. Along with Ephraim, Alberti and to a degree Pellicori we have a number of players who the majority of people (inc Warnock) can't say for certain whether or not they are of a CCC standard.

If we can't sign Beattie for next season I'd rather find out if some of the squad players are good enough. If they aren't then Warnock can get rid in the summer and if they are good enough then bonus. However if we can sign Beattie for next season then I definitely agree with what you are saying. I'm just scepitcal that we can sign someone of his quality when I'm sure the likes of WBA and Newcastle going up would just at the chance to sign someone of Beattie's quality and experience.

you dont need to be a rocket scientist to work out most of the players in are sqaud are not good enough let alone ccc standards

if we want to be serius we need to be looking to get players that are ready for the prem- proven ccc standard

pellacori - hes well past it and age is going against him get him off the wage bill he wants to be in italy

alberti is 19/20 so hes still a young age and worth hanging onto along with ephrim and with regards to german and balanta they will devlop in a squad that will perfom at the top stages

i personly think if we are siging the likes of beatie others will follow and the team will benefit no matter

          colin is our saviour!

What is the point of holding on to 4 or 5 players who nobody has any idea if they are good enough? Why don't we whilst we have games to go play some of the "deadwood" and find out once and for all if they are worth keeping holding of? If you add 4 or 5 new signings plus the likes of Mahon and Rowlands as well as Agyemang and Hall to the existing squad we will have a squad of about 35 players. Instead play the likes of Balanta, Vine, Ephraim and make a final decision as to whether to keep hold of them next season.

I don't see the point of starting the 2010/11 season with players who are never going to get a game because they are simply not good enough. All of our squad players should have the ability to come into the side when the first XI have injuries or suspensions.

To be honest I can see Buzz leaving in the summer with Ambrose coming in.

No sauce just complete gut feeling.

Not sure I agree Sir Pie. Think most of the dead wood has either been given ample chance or has looked so far off the pace that its actually cruel to subject them to any further inspection. everyone knows pellicori et al isn't good enough, probably including the players themselves.
