So if it wasn't for the odd promotional offers and freebies and walk up we would be playing to crowds that Brentford get

Not sure about that - seeing as our gates are the same and most games do not have special offers.

Imo the club got very greedy to quick

With these new owner I believe they going to look at this and the pricesing for next season. They have been stated that they want the ground full and get back to 10k season ticket. So my idea posted on here and on topic season ticket seems fair. But if they want to really reward those who carried on buying season tickets should go down by half for them.

New fans are good for the club. One minor sacrifice on behalf of a season ticket holder (ie giving up their seat in such a situation) may see a paying, loyal fan return to LR for life.

I don't see what the issue is here at all.

I asked at the last meeting did we sell 10,000 season tickets

                  "diplomatic answer"

                  was near the figure.

Well that could mean 6,000 or 8,000, who knows. Should be special neutral section bit like Fulham where it doesn't intrude on the paying supporter. Last thing you want is to keep moving, Isleworth was telling me one of the kids was saying "where is Drogba", which indicates no interest in QPR whatsoever.

It boils down to this, the club will say they are attracting a new audience, to a degree thats true, reality is SKY have overwhelmed us with Chelsea and the such like and clubs at our level are panicking because they cannot see the next generation of fans coming through the turnstiles, like everything in life it comes down to money and revenue streams long term thats why the promotions now. We simply want to fill the ground, but their is a fine line in how you work it out.
ALL BEST BANTER AND ALL THE LATEST FROM QPR.

Well you must be on a wind up then.
No ST holder should be giving up their seat to anybody.

Not on a wind up. I've done it before in R block so people can sit together. I don't sit with my mates though. They are in Lower Loft, so maybe it's an easier thing for me to do. So long as you still have roughly the same view of the pitch, I don't see the problem.

That's my opinion. I have a more relaxed attitude to such things than a lot of people on this mb though and I'd be happy to give up my seat for a potential new fan. That's part of what I see as being a supporter of the club. Again, that's my opinion, don't be offended by it.

Fair enough, I was one of the group ousted from SAR when W12 was created, now sit in Ellerslie. Wasn't entirely happy at the time as I'd sat with a lot of people for 25 years, but I believed it was in the long-term interests of the club to bring in more revenue.
I think there is a difference if you don't sit with your mates, and I too have given up my seat for people to sit together. There is a bit of difference I guess if you are confronted by people TELLING you to get out your seat because they want you to.

Fair play mate, I'm of a similar mould. Think it's great the
club are doing these promotions but in others eyes they are wrong when they don't and wrong when they do.

If you bought a season ticket this year then you bought into the dream. The dream has turned into a nightmare and now the
new owners are making ammends. Next season we will have a better squad, returning and new fans and a more realistic chance of living the dream.

We are all hoping for lower ticket prices but to be honest if the owners invest I will be happy to pay an increase next season

I think you can look at that in a different way. Where I live all the kids support Man U. Liverpool and Chelsea. I recently took my girlfriends 6 year old to LR - he supports Liverpool and loves Torres, but i am trying to convert him and it has a good chance fo happening.

He doesn't know any QPR players, he knows names like Drogba though, but he had a great day. He now knows a lot of them through my support, playing FIFA and coming to the odd match. If we want to attract new support as well as reclaim old supporters - we may have to convert them. If a 6 year old already knows all of the team - he is already a hardcore fan!
