  • Season Ticket Holders Stitched Up Again

About 3.10pm yesterday the whole of the normally quite empty JU Block become invaded by families who had obviously been given free tickets and total chaos ensued while they tried to find seats blocking the views of everyone.

I got told my one Chinese family that I had to move from my seat because they wanted to sit together and then the steward took offence when I told them to **** off as I had paid £600 for it!

About ten minutes after they eventually all settled at last most decided they now needed the toilet or a hot dog etc and so the fun started all over again.

Real fans taken for complete mugs in my opinion and all existing season ticket holders should get a heavy discount next year due to all the promotions and freebies handed out to those who did not stump up in advance :rage:

There are free tickets flying about all the time at Rangers. it's a joke for us season ticket holders who are constantly forking out hundreds of pounds!
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

i think we will need to put up with this for a while as they are trying to attract more fans! on the other hand i stopped being a season ticket holder due to work but dont understand how people get these offers where do they advertise them or our they special invitation maybe it was an apology ticket to the Chinese families of the team we beat up LOL
Dyslexic so please don't feel the need to correct my spelling mistakes as I really don't give a **** and before you say use spell checker if it is spelt right / wright but not in context spell check is useless

I have to agree I dont mind the odd promotion here and there to get kids in but those that did stump up decent money for season tickets have been robbed blind this season.

Lets hope common sense prevails and the club reward the loyalty that those who renewed have shown.

Lets hope they take this into account when they put the prices out for season tickets for next season. IMO I think there shoulld be 3 group prices.

            1 Those renewing again
2 Those coming back to season tickets after given them up
3 Those taking on for first time

IMO the prices should be a fellows

            1 £390 Adults
            2 then rise to £420
            3 then to £ 450

            This all being early bird.

            What do people think

I agree ST need to be looked after as much, if not more, than anyone.....but we do need to do something as a club to attract new fans and bring fans back. Sixteen clubs in our league have better gates than us. We haven't increased gates much for 10 years (only one season), so it isn't all about the price hike.

We need to promote - hope the STs get sorted too, but I am not againts attracting new people.

Having to stand up a couple of times isn't the end of the world.

It was a joke in JU thats for sure Paul

I sit in the front row so i wasnt bothered by people obscuring my view but the whole row behind me was like the united nations about 5 different languages being spoken with constant chatter throughout the game they may as well have been at a bar in covent garden

I thought the upper loft was meant to be members only!
its New Era number 8 i tell thee, bring on the fireworks

I got the impression that it was all a bit of a mix up yesterday, maybe the club didn't expect swansea to bring so many and were intending to put the freebies in the lower school end.

Good to see the Loft full again and most of the newbies I saw and spoke to were at least trying to join in and seemed to enjoy themselves.

Still trying to work out the relevance of highlighting that the family were chinese though Isleworth !!

You obviously fell for the tripe that was spouted about being in the champions league and Prem within 4 years, must admit i do feel for anyone who parted with cash for season tickets this season but you did have a choice like many other fans!!

Roll on Tuesday, it has cost me £2.35 for 2 tickets

The point I was trying to make was that they did not appear to be English as only the woman spoke the language so I think freebies were given to tourists as well as local schools and they will not of course be returning anytime soon.

The whole block was in chaos for about 10-15 minutes and although I am of course in favour of getting new fans involved with the club it is a fact that yesterday loyal fans who stumped up hundreds of pounds in advance were treated like **** by the club.

I have paid for a season ticket for many many years including all the years of course when we were in a much worse position the we are now so I certainly did not fall for the tripe as you put it and have always supported QPR however they are doing.
