He liked SDC for some reason.

He also loaned our leading scorer out to Forest. Really I thought he got sacked for saying he was loaned to his disapproval?

I'm not doubting that Sousa will turn out to be a good coach, or that he has moulded a Swansea side that are hard to beat.

As a season ticket holder I did not enjoy the brand of football we were playing under Sousa, thats all.

I think Swansea are one of the lowest scorers in the division, but do have an excellent defensive record, for me I like to see good attacking football and a few goals going in.

I think in Warnock we have a far better manager, I wish Paulo all the best but I cant understand why so many fans keep going on and on about him.

Some may argue that losing Holloway was a much bigger loss, the job he has done at Blackpool this season is quite remarkable. The job Sousa has done is equally remarkable (if not better)

As far as I remember, Sousa was a defensive midfielder, is he telling us that he never put in a tackle !!! ? The guy is talking out of the dark place in his body.

Could not agree more. SDC got the nod over Blackstock more times than not and he scored 2 goals all season.

All this defending from w12 ranger, about what a great player he was. you have to laugh when you compare it to management.

Would say Barnes, Butcher and robson were pretty decent footballers for England, but I wouldn't call them good managers, would you?

'Paulo Sousa has taunted QPR boss Neil Warnock ahead of their Loftus Road clash tomorrow by claiming his bully-boy tactics aren’t enough to beat Swansea City'

We'll just have to see then won't we, imo sounds a bit like jealousy.

Sorry to go off at a tangent, but rather than start a new thread for the purpose, as something has been mentioned above, I have a question that I genuinely would like to know the truth about if at all possible.

Without wishing to get into a silly argument with anyone, or to start one up between those who may have different opinions, does anyone actually know the real reason that led to Sousa's dismissal ? And please, do not let this turn to discussing "you know who" as it seems we have all moved on from that.

As W12 Ranger has said above, he is of the opinion that it was due to the comments he made about Blackstock being loaned out. The vast majority of press/media coverage if I recall correctly, supported that view.

However, on messageboards, the most widely held view appears to be that it was for confidential information given to a poster on here regarding the medical history of 2 players, which led to some rather nasty and unnecessary criticism being levelled at certain others who were accused of being part of the "great conspiracy".

As I have said, I really do not know. Just wondering if anybody else does.

Yes, the "project" is going well.

Doubt they will go up and wouldn't surprise me if they fail even to stay in the Play off places.

Don't forget had a team close last season and bottled it with tinkering

                      brightonr. It was many things.

For convenience and as this site is an easy target, we get blamed enormously for it.

Truth is, I didn't like the style, didn't like the tinkering and said so. The moment he leaves, fingers point. Its easy thing to do. Would add his perceived relationship with the chairman has a lot to do with it, when in fact they got on okay. Fans saw the opportunity for the current chairman to be ousted and were gutted when it didn't come off. Why those two things are connected by fans I will never know. As for the comments allegedly made and publicised, I'm sure many fans have called Tarrabt allsorts, start of the season, doesn't mean we want him to go.

We have moved on now, but thats the way I read it.

There's always going to be a little banter between clubs when old players or managers return, especially if they left under slightly dubious circumstances. I expect similar from Dowie next season if he is still in charge of Dull City.

4:50pm tomorrow is the only important issue and I believe NW will be the happiest.

From Sousa comments, this is just another match. He indicates no real rapport with the Rangers fans.

Some think more of him, then he does of us.

                            Just an observation

You know when it looks like you are constructing a good debate you then going and make a stupid comment like that (same with Funky)

For every ex good footballer who turned out to be a poor manager you can name, I can name one that turned out to be a good manager....it swings in roundabouts.

I defend Paulo Sousa because I believe strongly that one day he will be a great manager, he is already a good one IMO.

So I don't see what there is to laugh at, just another cheap dig from yourself.

Not a dig, just don't like his style of football.

If I wanted to support a continental style club, I would.

                                Its just not for me.
