My opinion on summer

IMO we need some real quality and strength in depth next season:

Goalkeepers:

Cerny- Ok for backup, if wages are high we can get rid
Ikeme- loan ends soon

We should sign speroni and heaton in the summer, palace going down and heaton not wanted

Defence:

Possibly our weakest spot

Ramage- Get rid
Borrowdale-dont mind him, not up to it though
Gorkks-Good
Connoly- must keep
Hill- loan ends soon
Stewart- ok backup, maybe get rid

We should sign nathanial clyne (palace going down) and spurr (wednesday close to drop zone and out of contract in summer). Calum davenport wouldnt be a bad addition if he can get fit (free) and so would volz.

Midfield:

Good, we need a leader:

Rowlands- prbably finished, we will have to see
Cook- Good player to have
Faurlin-Quality must keep
Buzsaky-Good player to have
Mahon- We will have to see after his injury
Legs- Gives 100% and i like him ,versatile aswell
Taarabt- loan ends soon, try and buy

We could do with a right winger (ambrose or moses on loan?) and a leader in the middle next to faurlin, reo coker would be perfect

Striker-
Simpson-Loan ends, must buy
Pellicori-Mind the door on the way out
Ageymang- See pellicori
Vine-Got to leave, really feel sorry for the bloke, not up to it
Helguson-Byebye
Balanta- Could go out on loan for experience?
German- Same as balanta or backup

Simpson first. We should buy gary hooper, would be cheap and knows where the goal is. Henderson/hulse would be good, if cheap they could really provide us with a different dimension. David Nugent has to be a serious option, Both pompey and burnley are on the way down, could warnock convince him to come here?

reading various threads it seems we are all more or less in agreement and the same names keep croping up. however, now we have a manager who (hopefully) makes his own mind up think the players we eventually sign might be completely off our radar at the moment.

i agree with pretty much all of that mate...apart from a few things:

Goalkeepers:

Cerny- i dont think he will stick around if he is backup
Ikeme- i would try and keep him on, as backup.

speroni would be an excellent addition, and if we cant get him, we should go for basso.

Defence:

Ramage - get rid
Borrowdale- would keep him on as backup
Gorkks- have to keep him
Connoly- definitely have to keep him
Hill- based on the last 2 games, sign him up as backup.
Stewart- not too sure...possibly as backup.

clyne, spurr, davenport, volz: sign them up

Midfield:

Rowlands- may be finished. see how he goes pre-season (if fit)
Cook- keep him
Faurlin- must keep at all costs
Buzsaky- keep him
Mahon- did well earlier in the season, again give him pre-season.
Legs- keep him
Taarabt- obviously doesnt want to be here, even if we had a bid accepted i feel he would turn us down. i dont want players here who dont want to be here.
ephraim- good young player imo, keep him.

ambrose could be a good addition, not a chance of getting moses imo, reo coker would be perfect as a leader.

Striker:

Simpson- must try and keep him at all costs.
Pellicori- ****** off
Ageymang- See pellicori
Vine- get rid
Helguson- give him a chance under warnock
Balanta- loan him out for experience
German- Same as balanta

would try and buy hooper and henderson. i dont think we could tempt nugent away from the premiership.
