Why give him a good reception? I agree...Booing him would be pathetic and pretty disgusting as he's been a gentleman since his departure, but why give him support?
Ok yeah get your point Benny, didnt mean give him a roaring reception but i just hope we dont give him unwarranted abuse as we have a habit of doing to any big name or ex player/manager who dares to come to LR as an opponant.

That, I agree with mate. As I say, I think it would be pathetic to boo him.
I'm one of those on the fence where Sousa is concerned. Yes - His dismissal was extremely harsh, but even though we weren't losing a lot, we weren't winning or more importantly...scoring.
I don't get how anyone feels he was great, just as I don't get why some were over the moon with his sacking. He was average for us. Sure, given time he may well have taken us forward, but every cloud and all that. For me, we have a better manager in Warnock.

Just my opinion, of course.
For want of kicking off yet another Sousa thread, he had a rock solid defense but ahead of it he had liam miller / mahon / legs / lopez / hogan to pick from. He had a half fit lee cook and routledge in the wide spots upfront he had Helgusson who just could not hit the target, a pretty woeful blackstock and di carmine. The hand of cards he was dealt player wise was far weaker than what we have had this season, and grossly inbalanced.
I cannot believe for a moment after how he was treated that anyone is going to boo him at all
I dont think we should cheer his name or anything, but if he comes on to the pitch and applauds the QPR fans, I think we should do the same too.
Yes, his football wasn't particularly entertaining, but I don't think Warnock's style of play wins many plaudits either (The Reading game did not have many complimentary reports written about it).
Before anyone suggests it, I am not knocking Warnock or his playing style, QPR have put some good moves together in his games so far, but a lot of it is long ball and not pleasing to the eye.
But in all honesty, I'd rather his style of organised, hard to beat football, than to watch Magilton's gung-ho style that destroyed any defensive ability and confindence the players had gained last season.

Routledge joined early in January and so he was a regular in Sousa's team, but as Baz points out, he didn't have a lot of decent options in midfield or attack.
In fact most passes to Routledge were long balls from Stewart in defence and from the midfield trio of Mahon, Leigertwood & Miller.
And his options up front were Helguson who was way off form, Di Carmine, struggkling to adapt to the English style of play, and Blackstock who was in the middle of a contract dispute, and was largely ineffective in some games.

The same Helgusson who's scoring for fun at Watford?
The same Dex who was our leading scorer twice out of the previous three seasons? Not doing too badly at Notts Forest this season, either.
The same Mahon we desperately missed for a large chunk of this season?
The same Legs who's currently having a rivival under a manager who knows what he's doing?
The same Hogan who's looking like a prospect once more...again under a manager who knows what he's doing? Sousa really rated him too, by the way.
The same Lopez that Sousa brought to the club and took to Swansea too?
As I say...I wasn't in favour of his sacking, but sides and all that. Every story has them.
I was at Sheffield United last week and Warnock didn't really get huge vocal support and he has been there for years.
We've clapped and applauded Holloway and this will not be on the same level. Some herbet will shout some obscentiy if Swansea go 1-0 up, but I bet nothing much happens and he will simply take his seat.
Completely different scenario if we had played this game a month ago.
Benny, I cannot believe you keep bigging him up by the way, you stopped coming soon after
