Next year will be the year of promotion, and our chances of survival in the Prem the following year is greater than if we would have been promoted this year

Three weak teams are coming down but three much stronger teams are coming up (Leeds, Norwich, Charlton or Millwall) plus the likes of Middlesbrough, Sheffield United maybe even Reading, Ipswich and possibly Cardiff or Forest staying in the league it will be as tough as ever.

This league is unpredictable. Last season, Nottingham Forest struggled while this season they are fighting for promotion. During the last 3-4 years Preston were in the Play offs and look where they are now. The list of examples are endless.
