My local game tonight; hence the early return.
I think that you can safely say 1-0 to the referee. OK, so there were two World Class headers off the line from Hill and Connolly, but the fakes looked like they need some serious Viagra up front; they looked totally impotent.
Apart from Shane Long, trying (and eventually succeeding) to get StewPeas sent off, they offered nothing. Every single time, one of our players knocked into a Reading player, they went down as if pole-axed - a serious bunch of pussies. Still, they managed to con the ref and the fact that they committed 18 fouls and got one booking and we committed 14 and received five yellows says it all.
Make no mistake, Warnock should stick one a long way up StewPeas for his second yellow; it was stupid and clearly cost us the game; we'd have romped home with 11 on the pitch.
Faurlin was massive again tonight; Taraabt not so much although his one piece of magic, a curled ball into the path of Simpson was top drawer - Simpson should have buried it.
Priskin started of well, but then didn't seem to want to go near the bal for a twenty minute period in the middle of the game. German made a big difference when he came on.
Hill did well and Ikeme looked fine to me tonight. Conolly did OK, but looked to be carrying an injury. Simpson put himself about a bit, but it wasn't really happening for him and Hogan did some good work, but his distribution was a little off.
As I say, StewPeas sending off killed the game as a spectacle and the ref. spoiled what should have been a top game...
