    quite a few keepers take the ball right to the edge of the area, let go of it just inside, and then are kicking outside the area, but I would have thought it's still part of the drop kick?

      That's the point i'm making. Although technically he should be able to stand there and let the keeper hit him if her wants, everyone and their dog knows a ref will give a foul, and in some instances, like tonight, a pathetic ref will jump at the chance to wave a card.

      That's why he shouldn't have done it..... i mean what benefit was there ever going to be for us anyway.

        He probably wouldnt have been sent off if the Reading players hadnt hounded the ref over it and pointing at Stewart. Clearly trying to get a fellow professional sent off - pretty low behaviour IMO. Changed the whole course of the game, until that point we were dominating.
