Would banning The Stirrers Benefit this Board??

Please define a stirrer Pete, is it a wind up merchant as in people who say they are in the know but are not, or is it someone who on hearing a rumour decides to slate it or be abusive and cause others to respond with insults, imo looking at it many things can be classed as stirring, even opinions when people disagree so does this mean you are going to ban us all????????

Debate is fine and we all want that but for going on and on about the same thing get's boring, some members no longer post or visit because the fun gets taken away.

I can't think of to many posters who don't post on here anymore who are missed other than Captain Clunge who is an absolute ****ing legend.

From the old board Eusebio, KLR, ZRanger & Hoopstillidie are missing who all took moral stands against owner and moderators of this site and you banned QPRReport.

Agreed MYU,finding the balance could be hard to find though.I think this thread might have done some good,all by itself,maybe one or two posters might have had a wake up call,and will take a long hard look at themselves in the mirror.

The way I see it is Pete thinks he is getting undeserved stick and wants those posters banned because its his MB. The thing is those posters who Pete wants banned raise the intellectual levels on this site ten fold and he can't return the serves at the times to put it bluntly. Pete's put himself on a pedestal and one which isn't very popular and a lot of people have wised up to him, its that simple.

I posted the other day I do think it is time to move on now form all this circular debate and I meant it, the likes of Terry Ball have agreed also.

I totally agree with TB's post about what causes the rift on this site between posters, but why should this MB be allowed to become Pro Paladini just because the owner is. There has been some very healthy debate on here on the subject of Paladini and threads only descend into chaos because the Moderators refuse to keep a leash on Wembley Ranger.

As Nodge says use the User Ignore function its what it is there for and stop blaming everyone else for the stick you take because if your totally honest you only have yourself to blame. Not looking for an argument just being honest.

QPR Report was banned for a good number of reasons and also the fact my work IP was banned but I had done nothing wrong. We made the right choice to ban him because he was just copy & pasting from this board to his site and stirring, it needs to stop and we did something about it. It's not like he was posting anything on here so I'm sure he will miss nothing about this site.

Hope we can all move on from that and support the club we all love.

but picked this up on LFW written by Clive Whittingham.

I will get accused of 'stirring' just for posting this but this is exactly the reason why QBP has recieved such negativity of late. Enough is enough and the the sooner this stops it will be plain to see for Pete why this debate has to be brought to Paladinis back yard.

We all want the best for our club but it does seem that there are those individuals want it there way which is selfish.

Do you know why your work IP was banned? Does someone else use it to access Report's Site perhaps? You said at the time that you and over 1000 others had been banned from Report's site (They must be really noticing the drop in hits, though I am sure that all those people also visit this site so it might be a good thing (even though your employers say on their website that they only have about 350 employees....)).

Strange you mention it though as you don't post on his site so I am sure you aren't missing anything either....

Freedom of expression and lack of censorship is one of things that makes this site so good IMO. Take that away and it will be much the poorer for it.

Totally agree stanley-should be no bans. I am a member of the freedom of speech gang. Bit of banter-different points of view and a wind up are all part of coming on here. The only time warnings should be dished out is when it gets too personal...otherwise bring it on!!

For the record, I do believe people that resolve to direct personal insults should be banned. Insults like "you are a C***" or "why don't you f*** off".
THey are not needed.

Interesting to see that some people accuse me of stirring. The bottom line is that i have a difference of opinion on occasions. Believe me, I would much prefer to have the same opinion. Can also say that some people are afraid to back me up) and have sent me a PM to say that is the case even though they agree with my views) because they are also frightened to be shot down.

If i see twenty people say Gianni or Flavio are this that or the other I am not a stirrer if i am the one person that thinks differently. I just think differently. Not a problem for me and should not be a problem for anyone else. I see myself as the QPR that sits quietly and respectfully at games and not as the loudmouth who shouts out obscenities. The quiet fans have a view and i like to think that i represent some of their views.

If people read over my posts they will see that i am consistent and constructive. I try and give a balanced opinion.

Anyhow, just my thoughts. This is easily the best QPR site btw. I think the mods are relatively fair and run a tight ship.
