Would banning The Stirrers Benefit this Board??

I must say I am getting to the end of my tether with some people. Even a basic request for suggestions for the meeting tomorro gets bombarded with off topic suggestions

Personally think we will be better off without the stirrers.

End of the day all messageboards know what they are getting by visiting each and everyone of them, yet this one allows people to get personal and vindictive

This is one of the few boards which allows personal abuse and whilst the club is moving on, many fans are not.

These stirrers would be better suited to a messageboard that suit their beliefs, if this one is so far off key. Sure their is one out them.

Personally think if I banned 5-6 people this would be a better place.

Who else thinks tha?

Should the stirrers be banned for a 3 month period, until all this bitterness calms down?

Pete, I've posted this before, but if this was my site I would ban some people altogether, because they get on so many peoples nerves. People can yell freedom of speech all they want, but we don't pay for this site, and those that do can ban whoever they want for whatever they want.
The analogy I gave before was that if someone came round your house, ate your biscuits and drank your tea, and then started slagging off your furniture and your missus and kids, and kept on coming round and doing so, you'd tell em to eff off wouldn't you?
Every messageboard has people who log on just to cause trouble, this one included, it would be nice to think they would just get a life, but they won't, so get rid of em.
I'm sure they'll soon find somewhere else to play.......

I could name a couple of sites ( i won't), but if I posted half the stuff they do on here, then I would be banned (in fact I have!!), its just this board gets labelled and thats nots really fair, as its not borne out by facts.

At QPR we have probably more messageboards than alot of football clubs. I have noticed people being shot down for simply given an opinion, would I for example prefer to have Newark R or a chelmsford R, Connors etc over other posters, fo Course I would !!.. These guys must be feel that are coming near not being able to post, because of the flack they get. Thats not right. I am sure these guys would be better served with talking to fans who they are not going to cause an argument with!! Other boards don't have it and no reason why this one should.

No, because I think you look the bigger man if you ignore it. Certain people just like having a moan. If we won the Champions League they wd still complain that their ticket for the final was too expensive or that we had the wrong type of badge. Don't blame you for getting annoyed as I think the most unpleasant aspect of the internet is that people feel because they aren't saying something direct to someone's face they can say what they like, but actually, it can be just as upsetting reading it on a screen. They wd never speak like that to someone's face, so why on a message board?

I think people should be more grateful to Pete for setting up this board and keeping us all in the loop. If people don't like it they don't have to log on. My only criticism of Pete is that sometimes he does seem to deliberately egg on the old guard (eg endless Sousa posts, refusal to accept the board had messed up on signings etc). I know he is probably just trying to play devil's advocate and stir up debate but sadly it made him look like the mouthpiece for what was a very unpopular board.

I wd hope that as it becomes clear the club is moving forward in the right direction even the moaners will gradually fall silent, if only because most people on this message board now just skip past such posts without even reading them. Any regular has made up their mind long ago what they think of Gianni etc so most of us wd far rather discuss the future.

I'm all for free speech but some people on here have their own agenda's ie; constant digging ultimately resulting in me stooping to their level to then dig them out! Anyway I voted yes.

I could name so many more to be honest. I have genuine supporters Pm'ing me saying that are getting sick and tired not being able to post, because they get shot down.

We cannot move forward if these people are allowed to stay, its that simple. I should have done it ages ago.

It's your board Pete, if there just negative that's their opinion. But if you want to ban those that hijack every thread and turn it into a gp thread then I'm sure nobody will try and stop you

Yep agree totally , i dont post as often as most , but i spend an hour a day on here atleast. have certainly noticed the playgrounders more and more .
once it starts i just click another thread .debate ...for sure but personal insullts?...from behind a keyboard? ....get rid i say.

That says it all and it's only Internet talk... reality is different.

I think it's best just to ignore those people and move on.
